RE: The Reveal - Leotie - Jul 04, 2018 [dohtml] Being that her children were born of a lower ranked mother, the second in the pack Leotie had her reservations of how they would be treated. Sometimes she felt others would feel they wouldn't be worthy of the same treatment as Ravenna's pups. It was the reason they had to look their best and be on their best behavior. In a way she felt they had to prove themselves and she hoped that she could convey that to them before they reached the rest of the pack.
She'd announced to both of her children had it was a big day for them, she was probably more nervous about it than they were. They seemed eager to leave the den but she wondered how they were going to feel about coming face to face with the other pups. Each of her children were making their own sounds, her daughter whimpering and her son calling out her name, "What is it Scully?" She asked letting her blue gaze fall in his grey form. Leotie had already decided that Scully was going to be a handful as he chased her tail for probably the hundredth time and couldn't help but wonder if Sven was like their son as a pup.
Before moving away from the den she turned to her children and nuzzled each of them on the cheek. “Now listen both of you. I want you to be in your best behavior today please don't embarrass your mother and father.” With that said she turned her head to look in the direction they would need to go to meet with Ravenna. “Okay, we should get going.” With that she started walking again.
The silver woman and her two children soon came into view, Leotie let out a sharp bark to announce her presence. She also took notice of the fact that Blackmoore was already there. The new mother pressed her nose to Ravenna's cheek in greeting before nudging her children toward their soon to be adoptive siblings. “Big day, are you nervous?” She asked the silver woman before turning toward Blackmoore, “And I see you've brought a gift for the children? That is very kind of you.” [/dohtml] RE: The Reveal - Avella - Jul 10, 2018 [dohtml] Avella didn't know what it meant that they would have a big day though she going out a bath was required. The tawny puppy hadn't been too enthusiastic about having to lay still while their mother bathed her but she had. Her brother was up to his tricks as they followed mother out of the den, chasing her tail and all. It was what laid outside that caught her attention and made her a little nervous.[/dohtml] RE: The Reveal - Ravenna - Aug 04, 2018 just moving this along so it don't die anyone else is still free to join.
[dohtml]
She could hear the scurrying of small footsteps not far, along with that of a larger wold with a much familiar scent. Leotie came along and in tow were the two puppies she had seen nog long ago that were once cuddled up in their den and now walking around outside for the first time. She accepted her friends affectionate greeting with one similar of her own and then shook her head slightly. "Not so much, they will do great." She said to her friend as her attention then went down to the four pups that were finally going to get to know each other as they moved off to the Infirmary underground within the communal den. "Ragnar - Freyja, this is my friend Leotie and her two pups. We're going to all stay together now in a much larger den. How does that sound?" Soon she knew their fathers would be here, along with anyone else in the ranks that wanted to join, but it was good to have a few moments without too many large body is around so the four pups could get to know each other. [/dohtml] RE: The Reveal - Blackmoore - Aug 20, 2018 [dohtml] The man had noted in mind what Ravenna had said, but he'd paid it little attention at the moment. Not out of lack of respect, nor interest. Rather his eyes had looked curiously upon the two little fuzzballs behind and between her legs. He watched their reaction, the hesitation in the boy (he presumed) and a pure interest from the girl. Soon he was going to learn their names, but in that moment he just watched as Freya stepped forward to take the pose of a hunter. Or at least something that kinda resembled it, considering the circumstances and sloppiness that was to be expected from the child of this age. And perhaps even looked forward by adults, after all wasn't that simply cute? It surely had been for him, and he wasn't going to hide that fact from anybody. But neither he was going to allow the feelings of his past to come forward and yield into his expression. A hearty, albeit not too loud, chuckle had followed Freya's tumble and the following munch onto it's back. In all honesty it was an quite adorable sight to see so the male had smiled accordingly. "Obviously." The dark male had chuckled back in answer, before leaving the topic all together. After all, he wasn't going to try to apologize for bringing it so early. Why would he? Sure, he might not had ever got a chance to raise his own pups so an exact timing was unknown to him. But he'd just hoped to bring something that would be nice and perhaps educational. In the end, Ravenna could always eat it herself if the pups wouldn't. It was a fool proof plan, right?! Either way, the man just nodded and smiled to the kids as the silvery woman introduced 'em to him. At least partially, as she had left out his name. He didn't knew the protocol or was it intended or not. Was it anything really, so he'd quickly followed her words with his own. "Hello there," He'd said to both pups as he'd lowered his maw a bit towards their level, bending on his knees the front part of his body along with it. "I'm Blackmooore." He'd said it with his best and friendliest smile as well as the voice that this towering male could muster. There shouldn't be any questions by now about what he'd felt - as it should be obvious to anyone that Blackmoore had been absolutely charmed by the little fluffs. Even more so that they were 'hers', but that was completely different matter. Ravenna have wanted to move forward, so the male observed her going as he'd stood by the children that hesitated at first before attempting to drag the little rabbit with them. For a moment he hesitated about 'giving them a helpful maw' so to speak, but ultimately the man refrained from doing so. After all, he'd would imagine it could ruin their fun, or at least Freya's as she'd seemed to be the most excited pup about the hare. As Ragnar had been mostly keeping an eye on him instead, albeit the little man had came forward to sit beside his sister. Either way, the dark male would follow the kids once they'd managed to start dragging the hare along. Fortunately for all of them, they hadn't to go far as Ravenna had soon stopped. Just before the next den, as the second mother of the Ridge had come into view with kids of her own. Blackmoore had joined the adults not long after, just before the little hare had been successfully brought in by Freya and Ragnar. Seeing himself addressed again, the man had just shrugged politely with a soft smile before ushering. "No problem. I can bring more if either of you wants me to..." He'd finished with a brief glance towards Ravenna. In the meantime he'd tried to get a good glance on Leotie's children, as the two women had sunken into their own conversation. If by chance either of the pups approached him, it would be highly probable that he'd would do more than just smile back at them. An friendly 'hello' with a lowered head towards them would most likely happen. [/dohtml] Post is a post. I didn't want to stall further so there it is. Though it was kinda hard to write as the timeline got messy in all honesty.
RE: The Reveal - Freyja - Oct 08, 2018 Late post.
[dohtml] She paused just once. The shifting of a much larger, darker body caught her eye. That big male who had brought her the rabbit was leaning down awfully close, saying something to them. Her pale blue eyes lingered, this time with more focus, more interest. But she remained perched atop her prize, while gnawing on a limp paw with those needle like puppy teeth. Her young nose smelled traces of the prey on him too, and she began to inch forward, curiously. A shove from her brother was all it took to divert her attention and for her to release her hold on the hare. She whirled around as fast as she could, trying to nip at one of his ears. Would he like to be the prey instead? That was fine with her. But her mom seemed to have a better suggestion. They could help her carry the big furry thing together. Perfect! With an excited bounce on her short little limbs, she leapt ahead and quite skillfully, she thought, hoisted the rabbit by one of it's large ears. Ragnar had already done the same, and together, the rest of the way, she assisted her family in hauling their toy along. For her young legs, the trek seemed long, but in no time, she saw another wolf, and two other pups she had never seen before. The adult, Leotie was agouti, while one pup was pale like she and Ragnar. The other was darker, like her dad. Her silvery mom referred to the other female as a friend, the pups her children. But what was even more interesting was that they were going to be staying together as a big family. Riddled with excitement and eager to show off (and perhaps share) her fluffy toy, Freyja bounded forward towards Avella. Far from shy, she bopped her under the chin, gently. Diving her front end down, keeping her back end up, she hopped from side to side in a most welcoming invitation. RE: The Reveal - Blitz - Oct 12, 2018 [dohtml] He knew this day had been fast approaching. Weeks had passed since the birth of his children and yet they had grown so much already. They had already outgrown the small birthing den that Ravenna had chosen, in which their first weeks of life were spent. Pups needed room, space to stretch their legs and explore. Under eagle eyed supervision of course. Ragnar and Freyja were not the only cubs the Ridge welcomed this year. Sven and Leotie's first litter was cause for great celebration. Fully supportive of the silver woman' choice to move the family to the main den, Blitz made a note of it to be present that day. With both litters of pups sharing the same space, and with the pack would give way to essential socialization skills needed in this phase of their lives. He had risen early, to get a head start on his days work. The sooner he wrapped up his patrol of the borders and double checking that nothing was out of the ordinary, the better. The dark Mizuno was just on his way home when Ravenna's call went up. Letting all of the pack know that the time had arrived and to come gather, if they wished. A fond smile tugged at the corners of his mouth, acidic eyes glinting with pride. He was still a ways off, but he felt no immense need to rush. It would give them time to cross to the main den, for the pups to get to know one another. Along with any other pack mates that showed up. When his jet black image did eventually break from the distant treeline, he squinted. Ahead he picked out figures in the distance. The silvery form of Ravenna...the tawny one of Leotie, and the darker one of Blackmoore. And around their feet, boisterous and inquisitive as always, all four children. His eyes fell on the limp rabbit that Blackmoore had brought along...to which his daughter was showing a great deal of interest, to his delight. However, Blitz had brought along a souvenir of his own. Clutched firmly between his powerful jaws, was the hollow shell of a box turtle. What better way to introduce his pups to a water dweller? The hollow shell was sturdy, riddled with a plethora of smells. A perfect plaything to knock about in their rough and tumble games. Quickening his strides, he approached with a naturally proud posture, brushing along Ravenna's side with an affectionate growl. Blackmoore he eyed with neutrality, disguising any protective surge he may have felt. His son he nudged behind the ear warmly. "Geeze someone is gettin big. And you...you just can't contain yourself, huh little hunter?" He said to Freyja, placing a kiss on her head, though went unacknowledged. She was too hyped up. And last but not least. "Leotie..." He smiled warmly, easily, his tail swishing. "How has motherhood been treating you?" He knelt down to invite her children closer, on their own accord of course. "They are stunning." He remarked gently. And then, he did something completely unexpected. The sea wolf had always had a natural way with the young. Now was no different. He rolled partway onto his side, vivid eyes warm. An invitation to the young ones and a sign of extremely confident wolf doing so in the company of other adults. One massive fore paw dangled mid air, bobbing enticingly. RE: The Reveal - Scully - Oct 13, 2018 [dohtml] What is it his mother had asked, but she should've already known what his question was. He stomped a tiny paw in protest, was about to squawk again, but she began to address them and even though he was a mix of happy-mad, he stilled to listen. Their best behavior, she asked of them. But for what? "Ma," he insisted as he toddled after her. It was only having his sister to escort that kept him from outright fussing, and anyways, it wasn't too far a walk before something else nabbed his attention entirely. Not just other wolves, but other kids! It was clear that the adults meant little to him as he focused solely on the other two children. After watching Avella's interaction with the other girl (ensuring that she wasn't about to be too rough with his sister), he sized up the boy. Deciding he could take him, easily, he lunged. [/dohtml] RE: The Reveal - Sven - Oct 14, 2018 [dohtml] From the moment Leotie had told him of her and Ravenna's plans to eventually merge the litters and raise them as one, Sven had been on board with the idea, pleased with it even. It would make things easier on not just the mothers, but him as well. He wanted to be close to his cousins, put in as much time with them as he could while also balancing leadership and fatherhood. Having the family in one place would just make that all the easier. So when the day came, just knowing what was to come put him in a good mood. He arrived on scene just as the mothers and their broods met up, chuffing to announce his presence. Silver eyes watched the children interact, Avella and Freyja inquisitive as Scully did what he could only be expected to; attack. With a lopsided smirk he passed up the other two men, stepping over Blitz's tail at one point, to siddle up to Leotie's side, muzzle brushing her cheek affectionately. "Left some welcome home presents for you n' the kids in the infirmary," he told her; a few small skulls and colorful feathers for the children, a bundle of fresh wild flowers for their mother. [/dohtml] RE: The Reveal - Leotie - Oct 16, 2018 [dohtml] Scully her boy who sometimes caused her to shake her head at his antics was protesting this or the fact that she'd avoided telling them what was happening. Leotie wanted it to be a surprise for her children. So far they'd lived in their own little world without much interaction with the outside world. Now they would get a taste of it and she wanted it to go well for them both but part if that was them minding their manners. Avella seemed quite agreeable to the whole affair but perhaps a little shy. Leotie thought that would change once they met up with Ravenna and her pups. She looked back at her son again as he called out to her, “Come along Scully,” she said ignoring his stomping, “You will find out soon enough.”
And they did as Ravenna and her pups came into view along with Blackmore. “They will,” she agreed with her friend, “Let's just hope Scully doesn't get to rowdy,” she added half joking.
Blitz and Sven soon joined the small gathering and a smile went to the dark furred male, “It's treating me well,” she told when he asked, “Thank you and so are yours,” she added when he complimented her children. Feeling Sven's muzzle against her cheek she turned into the touch, “You are very good to me,” she informed when he told her of the gifts he’d left in the den, “I'm sure we will love what you've brought us." [/dohtml] RE: The Reveal - Avella - Oct 16, 2018 [dohtml] Her brother and protector was right there next to her but he wasn't one to be shy about how he felt. Avella did as their mother asked and went along but she like her brother wondered what all of this was about. She stayed close between her mother and Scully until they came to where others were waiting, so this was what they were doing.[/dohtml] |
