RE: But I'll be stumbling away, slowly learning that life is okay - Elias - Jul 08, 2018 AHHH SHE'S SO CUTE IM DYING
[dohtml]Elias watched, waited. To his delight little Ellery followed suit and mimicked him, a little hesitantly at first but soon enough she was slapping the water like a pro! As though she'd been doing it since the day she'd been born! This was more than enough process for him, but oh no, Ellery was not yet done! She toddled on ahead till the water was just below her knees and began to splish, splash and kick around as though she was having the time of her life. Elias couldn't help but join her. They pranced and played till they were both sopping wet, a nice reprieve from the midday heat. Bending down, Elias pressed a long, sappy kiss to the top of Ellery's head. He couldn't be any prouder, look how far she had come! He wanted to stay out and play forever, but he had to remind himself that she was still young and that she'd never been away from the den before. There was always going to be another day, right now they needed to make baby steps. "I think that's enough, pudding." He stepped out of the water and flicked his tail, hoping she'd follow suit. He imagined she would though, she was such a good girl. "Let's head back to have a nap, Papa is alllllll tuckered out." RE: But I'll be stumbling away, slowly learning that life is okay - Ellery - Jul 08, 2018 Papa was quick to join her, splashing around in the water. In addition to being fun, the stuff also made her feel a lot cooler! Why hadn’t she been introduced to this before? Her father splashed at her and she splashed back, giggling all the while. She loved her Papa and how silly he was. With no other puppies to play with, Elias was practically all she had. Of course the other adults would play with her sometimes, but there was no one better than the blonde man to get her into an excited mood. Just as she was beginning to feel tired, her father made his way out of the water and she followed. He pressed a big, wet kiss on her head and she scrunched up her face at him. Gross! He started making sounds at her again, then turned to head back the way they’d come. The was quick to follow after him, but not nearly as quick as before. Eventually, the man had to pick her up by her scruff and carry her. By the time they’d reached the den, the girl was snoozing away. In her mind, she was dreaming of the water and the day she’d had. It was a good day. Fade. |
