She was a little nervous about revealing herself to the strange wolf and was only comforted by the fact that he sounded like he was her age. At first when she came closer telling him her name she almost couldn't see him. His dark coat blended in with the foggy night so well but she saw his rusted gaze and followed it until his dark figure became more prominent against the background. He looked so scared and hungry, she wished there was something she could do for him. If they were back in the ridge she was sure her parents would help him but they weren't. Instead they were in a place that she soon learned neither of them knew.

“We can be lost together than. I'm from a place called Willow Ridge, it's a pack at least two days from here,” she said before looking around, “I'm just not sure which direction.” She only knew she'd been traveling for at least two days at this point.

He, too, was wary of the stranger. But the boy did not have the luxury of being cautious. Not when he was starving and barely alive. He did not get to be choosy with those he interacted with. Sure, he needed to be cautious, but he was also desperate. Desperate to survive. To live. The boy had given hope on finding his mother, or her finding him. He was confident that she had forgotten about him or given up. Which was okay. It gave him time to focus on himself. To fight against the hunger that weighed him down and the weariness that struggled to pull him into an eternal sleep.

We can be lost together than. He blinked at the thought, his chin tipping softly to one side. It did not seem like a bad idea. “Maybe for awhile,” he hummed in response, his tone indifferent as he surveyed their surroundings, his rusted gaze captivated by the thinning mist. “Pack?” He frowned. If she had a pack why was she on her own? “Why leave?”

After seeing the boy she’d bumped into Avella felt badly for him. She wondered how long he'd been on his own but seeing him also brought a question to her mind. Would she end up like him the longer she was on her own? She could only hope what she'd learned before she'd left the ridge could get her through and ensure that she wouldn't end up like him. She could do what she was able for him as long as they were in each other's company if he would allow her too. It would have to wait though until the mist went away so that they might actually see where they were going.

She had proposed they be lost together thinking they could help each other out. She smiled when he said that they could possibly for a little while. That would be long enough maybe for her to help him find something to eat. “A little while would be okay.” When she told him she'd been part of a pack he wanted know why she'd left. Avella nodded at his first question, “I just felt that it was time for me to go.” She didn't really want to think too much about it really cause she knew it would make her and to think about her family. "Were you born in a pack?"
