While he was distracted the other wolf beat a hasty retreat, and by the time Nash turned back around her tail was disappearing into the underbrush. He opened his mouth to call after her, but it was too late. He stared into the place she'd disappeared, perplexed. She hadn't even told him her name. What if he ran into this Hudson she was looking for? Well, he supposed if he did he could always tell Hudson a small pale girl was looking for him, and that she was rather rough around the edges.
Nash shrugged, chalked it up to winter, and head back towards home.
