The possession he felt for the she-wolf just below him could not be described in to words, and as his gentle mate leaned toward him – into him – the regal wolf uttered a low growl of pleasure as his mouth sought to preen the fur of her cheek before trailing to her nape.


Ruiko could not deny her what she wanted, nor could he deny the craving that urged him forward. Her scent burned him; a scorching fire far hotter than the one that had stolen the Wildwoods from him. His eyes sought hers, locking to them before he whispered his love for her to the lobe of her ear, a crooning note that only escalated with intensity before he pulled back.


Together, in the deep grasses and rolling hills of perfection, the two would begin their next chapter in life, and for the moment, Ruiko was no longer afraid of what this chapter would bring. Not with her at his side.
