He wanted out, but Hellhound was young and dumb and proud and he hesitated upon hearing the crazy one’s words. It was only for a moment, but he did not like being called a coward, but then his instincts took over. He needed to get out of here, cowardly or not, he wanted to live. But, the hesitation was going to cost him.

The grey and black male was after him again, Hellhound reared up and struck out with his paws again, trying to force space between them. The crazy brute caught one of his paws in his jaws, but the Archer male was lucky enough to jam the other paw into his opponent’s good eye. He felt his paw get freed, and turned tail and ran, no hesitation this time.

He was now missing an ear, was bleeding from his cheek, snout, shoulder and front paw, but he had lived. Adrenaline pumped through his veins, allowing him to ignore the majority of the pain as he ran as quickly as he could. He didn’t look back.
