RE: We're just kids tryin' to figure it out - Galen - Jan 24, 2023 Success! The inky lining of Galen's lips shifted to form a cheeky grin upon his success of impressing; or so he hoped, miss Adora with his tale of going beyond the pack's borders. Without hesitation, the girl blurted out in excitement her desire to be shown just exactly where his paws have traveled. At this, the inky boy could feel a warmth begin to creep into his cheeks in an acute case of embarrassment. How was he supposed to show her exactly? For one, he hadn't planned on getting lost back then let alone remember how he got there. Secondly, Galen couldn't imagine the heap of trouble he'd be in from the adults if he wandered that far away again and with someone else in tow at that. The thought alone sent a shiver up his spine causing him to shake. "Er, it's probably not the best idea to show you right now." He confessed, his once-held pride in doing something spectacular in her eyes deflated. "The adults would get really mad at me for going that far again." Then his curiosity was sparked hearing her mention her old home. Where did she live before if she was living with them here now? "Where did you live? There's a high-up place we can go. Maybe you can point it out from there!" Tucked up the side of the mountain was a place his older sister had claimed to serve as a memorial for their late father and others to be laid to rest for the pack. Could she see her old home from there? RE: We're just kids tryin' to figure it out - Adora - Mar 01, 2023 [dohtml] Oh. She did her best to not deflate too much before him. Nobody had ever really...not agreed to show her at once? Magg had been eager, Di seemed willing always. Why had the boy not wanted to? Just because of some silly adults? Adora may have been a bit more huffy, if not for knowing how stern her own parents could be sometimes. Only out of love, this she knew! Mmm, c'mon. She offered with a little wiggle of her tail. Quick to rebound into a good mood again. I can try to point out the chasm from there! RE: We're just kids tryin' to figure it out - Galen - Mar 03, 2023 Despite Adora's best attempt at hiding the clear disappointment in being unable to be shown where his paws have traveled, there were still traces of such on her facial features that further deflated the boy's pride. Man, Galen had really wanted to impress his new silvery friend and had managed to do so, yet his overly good nature had to go and rain on his parade. He didn't like seeing this kinda expression when telling someone basically no. Alas, the dampened mood was only a short-lived moment of the past for the girl, her emotions rebounding at lighting speeds that did well to lift Galen's own. Things were back on the right track again! His own excitement would begin to creep into his words as he spoke, a gleeful grin smearing itself across his inky face in the hopes that this totally adult-approved local would impress miss Adora. Besides, the swarthy boy was curious to see what this chasm place she mentioned looked like. "You're totally gonna like it!" With a bounce to his steps, Galen began to lead the way toward the incline they would need to climb with his friend in tow. |
