RE: [S] get up from your misfortune - Isla - Mar 02, 2023 [dohtml] It worked. Not enough for a full fall, but enough to watch him struggle. He had learned his lesson, it seemed, seeing as he did not squeal for her help instantly. Oops. She declared with faux innocence, yet the look on her face was entirely neutral. Sorry, I'm just really rude. Now would come the best part. Where she would leave him behind to fend for himself on that snowy edge. Something about it reminded her deeply of her sister. Then the overwhelming thought that everybody should suffer like she did. Let there be another brother or sister of this boy who missed him when he was gone. She'd turn her path northeast and let her anger be her compass. RE: [S] get up from your misfortune - Ryder - Mar 03, 2023 Ryder was starting to better understand that novel word. He considered throwing it back at the girl as she gave her snark, but then she was turning to leave and he decided not to waste his breath. The stranger was really just going to leave him like this, huh? He waited for her to vanish from sight, and then put all he had into trying to pull and push himself back up onto horizontal ground. It wouldn't work, and eventually he'd be forced to slowly let go, doing his best to slow and cushion his fall. It would still bruise his hip and leave him in a particularly sour mood. "Fuck," he muttered, and then limped his way home. |
