Something in his nose tickled and sent his nose itching again. Only when she pranced away through the foliage did he realize: Woya had remained faithful. It wasn't like he had expected otherwise, but it made him swell with gratitude. He was one of the lucky ones to have found his match.
"Show me how much you missed me?"
He ducked underneath the low-hanging bough to find her rump in the air and her elbows on the ground. Her tail seemed to signal to him like a flag and his heart skipped. Like a bear out of hibernation, he lumbered toward her with a thunderous but playful growl of his own. As she had said, they could catch up later. Right now was for them, and only them...
