Gone Huntin' - Rhysis - May 14, 2012 I'm going to PP us all tracking the animals so we can try to wrap this up in the next few rounds. Hope this is alright with everyone! Rhysis nodded towards his female and allowed her to lead the way, each member of the pack in tow and Rhysis took the rear. As they left the pack borders in search of their meal, he couldn't help but observe the difference in the forest here. The further away from the lake they got, the denser the forest and the different the sights, smells and sounds. It was like another territory, untouched by other wolves; no wonder the deer were hiding here. Gone Huntin' - Naira - May 19, 2012 OH god I’m so terrible sorry guys! Athena feel free to PP Naira in the chase towards the hunters from here :) It would seem the young knew what they were up to because for once they decided to remain still. Perhaps it was the steady beat of her paws as the tawny lady travelled with her pack or perhaps they were simply exhausted from keeping her up all night. At the though of how sleepless her nights were becoming a yawn worked its way from her mouth, stretching her jaws to the extreme. A sideways glance showed her nobody had taken much notice. If they had she would simply pass it off as stretching her jaws. Gone Huntin' - Ava - May 19, 2012 Ava's pawsteps were gentle, but quick, full of a fury she could not wait to unleash. Her every nerve was activated as her bright eyes scoured the territory for signs of life that would soon be brought to death. The stone of the mountain land turned much more plush as the wolves trailed into the forest; pleasantly she found that she didn't miss it much at all. Thoughts of personal preference were lost instantly when a whiff of mule deer caught on the wind. Her jaws were aching for the kill as their small group rounded on the grazing prey. Rhysis sent Naira and Athena off, and then met her own eyes. Ava responded with a curt nod and a thirsty grin, the shadow of a wolf would slink forward to pick a prize. There were indeed a set of twins, sticking near and close to their mommy. The three of them already seemed skittish and confused - dim wits did carry on in the genes, did they not? She glanced toward the chasers to see if they'd found the three to be a decent target. The mom was of good size, and the young would be good for storage. Briefly she surveyed the herd again - a good twenty of them meant enough confusion to be the downfall of their choice, but it also meant a good amount of pickings and easier navigation. There was a male - stocky, with good meat - that she spotted whose ankle was slightly torn, but he seemed older. Perhaps he would have enough sense not to run right into the wolf trap, but perhaps not... Ava glanced between Rhysis and Chantille to see if they had spotted him as well, but truly she couldn't tell who to go for just yet. They would need the herd running to really figure out their prime target. Keeping those two in mind, her bright eyes flickered between the naive gathering of deer and her two packmates rounding them in the shadows... once one party struck, so would the other.
