Vili knew what she was asking, but pleaded with every god he'd ever known that she had meant something else. Having a child was one thing, but naming it?  That was an entirely different thing. He stared back at the new mother, fear echoing clearly in his expression. A name. A name. Surely, there was something. Did he know a single wolf with a name? Had he ever heard a name before? Surely, he couldn't name the child Vili... He had siblings, didn't he? What were their names? No. None of them would do.

Okay, if not names, then words? He'd said words before. A ton of them. So, he just.. he just had to pick one. One.  Egg? 'What? No.' Egg was not a name. He might have laughed if he hadn't felt so much panic.

Maybe not an object then. Maybe.. maybe more of a concept? Revel. Revelry. "Reverie."

Don't you dare look out your window, darling, everything's on fire

Reverie. She smiled gently to show her approval as she looked down at their daughter, nuzzling her gently. Even Lillia appeared at the mouth of the den and she offered her friend another gentle smile. It felt right, in that moment, having them both there for such an event… for once, the panic did not settle in, the fear of being a mother. She wasn’t afraid… she was terrified, but in that moment such fears could not touch her, but as she marveled at the little ball of life that she’d helped create.

Even her suspicions of Vili’s intentions disappeared… likely because she knew that Lillia would not hesitate to try and rip his throat out should he try to abscond with her child without her… if he tried to hurt either of them. She had proven herself a faithful companion as such. She silently curled around the child, resting her own head down as her exhaustion began to overtake her, and it was not long before she was asleep.
