RE: undignified - Nadine - Sep 14, 2024 [dohtml] A frown remained formed on her features, not used to the idea of putting herself above anyone or anything. She’d been told it was her duty as a diplomat and the daughter of the alphas to be selfless, and always put others above herself. She’d done her best to live by it. Lilla had been given more grace because she was expected to take over and thus had to take care of herself more. “But we all work because we all do our part… if we don’t, then we have a weak point within the pack, don’t we?” Ever since she had arrived to Paradise Falls, she had become aware of just how different they were compared to the pack from whence she’d come… or any other one she’d worked with in the past. RE: undignified - Riven - Sep 20, 2024 Her mindset, while a sad one, wasn't unfamiliar to the healer, who was about to be quite hypocritical. "Is that how you see it?" he asked, offering her a small smile. "I think we can only really have weak points if we don't take care of each other and take care of ourselves." He settled down, studying her expression. "How can a pack be fed if their hunter won't take care of herself? Better to eat from the caches for a few days than exacerbate an injury. What might've been a week of healing could turn into a month if you aren't careful." He smiled, then, tail thumping on the ground. "You need to take care of yourself before you're able to take care of anyone else," he said - the hypocritical bit, on his part. It was something he'd have to learn to do better, himself. RE: undignified - Nadine - Nov 13, 2024 [dohtml] A frown continued to linger on Nadine’s features. It would take time for her to process or even begin to accept what she was being told at the moment. The confusion lingered, but she would not offer any more to the healer. She didn’t quite see it that way. “I guess.” She stated, almost defeated after a pregnant pause. She didn’t know how much she had it in her to argue with him at the moment. She was tired, and her wound ached even if in her mind it was so small she should just push through. There was a hint of truth she could not deny. “Is it okay if I rest here for a bit?” Perhaps the company would allow her to stay true to doctor’s orders and actually rest… one could hope, at least. Her limbs stretched out regardless to stretch, though she winced as her claw caught the ground and let out a soft whine. Fine. She could see his point. |
