RE: Finding Mushrooms - All Welcome! - Faol - Jan 24, 2013 It took him a moment to realize that the blur of a female hadn't darted off into the woods, leaving Faol to find his own quarters for the night. She stayed, and although she said nothing he could tell that the anxiousness that surrounded her had dissipated. He was unsure as to why she would still be here, unless she wanted to retaliate against him now that she knew his handicap, but that would have been a bad decision on her part. Faol would never raise a paw to a lady, but it wouldn't take much more than a shoulder block from the large male to stop the small wolf. Of course he had no definite notion that she was crazy, but his thought process was always on on the defense. However, his thoughts were brought back to reality as she spoke, asking him if he had anywhere to go. A sarcastic little grin formed on his black lips."No, I am a mere wanderer of these parts. I've never had anywhere in particular to go" he said, letting the emphasis fall on his last word. He was being honest, and for the first time wondered if this female was a part of these lands. If she was part of some pack known to these parts. In the beginning his sense of smell had deserted him, but yet he smelled no pack stench. How had she come to the rescue so quickly? Maybe he was just in Lady Luck's good graces today. Their first meeting was a little uncanny, but he felt as if she wouldn't appreciate if he tried to rectify it. Personally he believed she was just acting out of kindness. Maybe she had some karma she needed to turn around. Yellow eyes pulled back to the figure. So small. So.. alluring to him. The fact that he couldn't make out her facial features obviously made him wish to study her more. Faol could easily fend for himself, even if he was disabled for awhile, but he almost couldn't pass up the idea of company. If even for a little while. At least she hadn't run away with her tail between her legs. "And yourself? " RE: Finding Mushrooms - All Welcome! - Sagacity - Jan 25, 2013 ooc: Want to have a separate thread to go from here so we can conclude your random event one? ic:[dohtml] She wasn't sure what compelled her to stay, or to make sure he didn't walk off a cliff. It wasn't that she didn't like others, but she felt somewhat stiff and nervous when around them, unsure of what to say. She considered the fact that she was probably wary of him- maybe she didn't want to slink off because he could find her and hurt her when she was cornered in her den- it wouldn't be hard for him to overpower her. But she didn't taste the sour tang of fear on her tongue, and assumed that maybe she wasn't staying around for her own safety. Maybe she was staying because his lack of coordination made her feel like the less awkward of the two for once.[/dohtml] ooc: Want to have a separate thread to go from here so we can conclude your random event one? ic:[dohtml] She wasn't sure what compelled her to stay, or to make sure he didn't walk off a cliff. Yeah that's good! Do you want to start it or shall I? <3 Ic; It took Faol a moment to register what she had said to him. The lady was offering a place for him to stay. His brow furrowed slightly as he started to think this was some kind of trick. He took a moment to look around once more, scenting for others even though he was sure there were none around. Wary as he was, Faol couldn't picture the timid girl to be anything but kind - surely not a cunning little beast - and so he swallowed his doubts and began moving toward her. On his approach, his size almost double her own, he could see her a bit more clearly. She was no longer a gray cloud, but her figure was more defined, with a noticeable black tipping her extremities. Had he leaned in closer he might have been able to see pools of color in her eyes, but he knew much better than that. Foal stopped a few feet from her keeping his distance. "I'll trust you're not going to lead me to my death?" he said with a sarcastic smile, his yellow eyes able to locate her figure better. In all truthfulness, he was posing a question, but he didn't have a hint of seriousness in his voice. Giving her a slight nod he waited for her to begin the venture in scouting for a den. RE: Finding Mushrooms - All Welcome! - Sagacity - Jan 25, 2013 ooc: I'll start :D ic: [dohtml] There was a moment's hesitation, something Sagacity had expected to the point that she was almost surprised when he agreed to follow her. He didn't seem the type to {word}brabble[/{word} or try to convince her that she was deluded, asking some stranger to follow her back to her den, so his consent, without argument, was refreshing.. She didn't want to have to justify her reasons or tell him that it made her feel safer to know where he was spending the night. She suspected he knew she didn't trust him completely, but she wasn't sure if he knew the extent to which she feared some sort of retaliation or outburst from him.[/dohtml] |
