you do not know who is your friend
or who is your enemy
until the ICE breaks.
The near-black female seemed to relax more and more, something in her posture, her gaze, her smell — Ice didn't look at her full on, self-conscious about having startled her before and not wanting to send her back into her rigid, tense cage. With the tip of his gray tail trailing a never-ending semicircle, back and forth, back and forth, he watched the little Sibyl, marveling at how absolutely tiny she was. It was, kind of, adorable... The loner asked if she was scared of something, if something was chasing her, and for a moment Ice wondered if they were, perhaps, asking her too many things.. crowding in too much... But she did not seem really bothered, just a bit awkward, so all was fine, right? Though, she called him Mister instead, and with a rather comical, dismayed expression his ears flipped out to either side of his head and he sank down in the cold snow, trying to appear less respect-inspiring. "Just Ice would do," he keened, listening to her rather jumbled explanation of not being scared of something specific.
Well.. she did have a kind of point, didn't she? There were lots of bad things afoot — bears, coyotes, rabid, sick creatures... And speaking of those, maybe he shouldn't tarry after all. For a moment Ice looked thoughtful, his jaws closed and something distant in his silver eyes, before he rather suddenly sprang to his feet. "Well!" he exclaimed jovially. "It's a beautiful day, you're not frightened per se, nor hunted, aaand I should get going again. I'm actually heading to see Borden-" He glanced at the dark loner, not sure if it'd be impolite of him to suggest Sibyl come along and thus leave poor Aeyla alone. "- but maybe it'd make more sense if I had an escort? Up to you, though." Grinning, and waving his tail, he waited for her response, but would not linger for much longer before setting off towards the Hollow.
