RE: run away - Bane - Sep 17, 2013

Bane's body remained rigid, tense, his tail moving to stand out straight behind his spine as the loner lifted his, meeting his gaze but not speaking a word until he then finally turned away. Bane's attention shifted, taking note of Nina's dominant display as she spat at the retreating wolf. He was glad he was gone. His face offered a fleer Bane did not particularly enjoy. Sighing in the same manner as Nina had, he relaxed as she too, settling before her to once more rest his weary limbs and tired little body. Bane nodded to Nina's first question to him, when she mentioned having commanded the others to stay back to give him some space. "I ran. All the way here. ...It felt, nice." All the tension, all the pain, flowing out of him in a manner to leave him able to relax and speak to Nina properly now. It had relieved him in ways that was different then the feeling one might get from the adrenaline of a hunt.

Bane is silent, listening to her, still as he accepts her nudges of comfort. She was speaking truthfully, as far as he was aware and Nina had yet to be caught in a lie to him before and so, he had not a need to be intrusting of her, to not offer her a clean slate that she deserved. Surely, Nina was right. With her mate around things must have been much easier. Two parents caring for pups then one would make things better for the family and although Bane was but one child against Nina's three, surely the hardship Nina mentioned Ashanti had was true. Unfortunately, this had not entirely been what Nina had meant though it was beyond Bane's knowledge. He nods his understanding to her, his body shifting so that he might be closer to her. "Can..." He hesitates, lifting his body once more as he yawns. Obviously the travel had taken it's toll. "Can I sleep in your den tonight?" He wanted to go home, yes, but he did not want to go home, if this made any sense at all.

RE: run away - Nina - Oct 12, 2013

When her theories were proven correct, she fought that small smile that was trying to make its way onto her lips. Right now was not the correct time to be smiling. This was more of a serious matter than a funny one. Nodding her head to show the boy that she was listening, she waited for anything else that he had to say. When he shifted closer to her and cleared his throat to speak she was a little bit surprised by his question. There was no hesitation in her answer though. Quickly, the strong woman replied, "Of course. That is fine, I’m sure the other children will be pleased to see you…" She tilted her head back towards their home, waiting for the smaller pup to start moving. Nina wanted to make sure that Bane was in her protection and that meant tailing him, no matter how long it took them to get back to the den area.

They moved slowly at first but as they grew closer to the den their pace increased, desperate to get back to a place where they could rest. The past days had already been long and fulfilling, with plenty of upsetting news and stressful events for some. It was now time for a much deserved and needed rest. Eventually they made their way back towards where Nina’s den was. Dismissing Hollow with a silent glare and flick of her ears, she led Bane into her little den, curling protectively around her three bundles and mentioning for Bane to come closer and rest with them. Tonight and possibly for a few to come, there would be four instead of three.
