I spy - Indru - Feb 03, 2011

Fun thread guys. :D Loving little ol' Triell.
Satisfaction curled his muzzle into a wicked grin (showing even more teeth) as he saw the damage and Weldering wince with his eclat, it seemed the male had not expected an attack so sudden. Indru would take so much but this wolf stupidity and persistence had asked for it and not since his attempt to usurp them before had Indru felt such a blood lust urge to cause another wolf some damage. His throaty snarl echoed his sentiments clearly, leave. Weldering flashed forward, aimed to retaliate and from behind him Indru heard a exclamation from Triell and spun to look at the boy, the movement caused him to miss the main goal of Weldering attack but he felt the male's teeth scrap down his shoulder and hissed, thankful for his long winter fur. It broke skin but Indru's thicker fur prevented Weldering's teeth from damaging his muscle, a surface wound, he could live with that. Though, before Indru could do anything in return Triell dived past him aiming for Weldering himself.
Indru felt a flicker of fear for Triell and pride at the same moment as he saw him react without hesitation to protect him; he was young but already showed promise of being a very valuable member of the pack. But it was without a doubt that concern won and Indru dashed forward, barking sharply in anger at Weldering and flashing his teeth in his direction again, aiming for the area between the side of his neck and shoulder. He was determined that one way or another he would leave with his tail between his legs.

I spy - Weldering - Feb 04, 2011

Weldering was not surprised that Triell had recognized him, his pelt was not exactly the average colour for the wolf to parade around in. In the back of his mind he was always concerned about Triell joining in but he did not really think that the young wolf would. He knew how protective and controlling Indru was with his family. The young wolf would never be allowed, right? He was wrong, the moment he had jerked his massive silver body forward with a counter offensive Triell charged. He was small sure, he still had a lot of growing to get to the size of the two large wolves that were fighting in front of him. But he still had a nice set of teeth and they were razor sharp as they sunk into Weldering's shoulder.
<b style="color:#0d5b8c; font-family:geogia; font-size:13px">"Stop kid! Stop." He hissed with yet another wince of pain, but his eyes did not leave Indru for long as he felt the brute moving away after his light hit on his shoulder. Straight away Weldering snapped as Indru moved closer but this time in an attempt to clash his jaws against Indru's muzzle to try to block his attack that was aimed for the side of his neck. For now Indru was going to get exactly what he wanted. Swallowing his pride the young black and silver male forcefully shunted his body to the side aiming to slam into the smaller Triell hoping that it might even knock him over as he pulled free of his own fur, skin and flesh to escape. Weldering did not waste a second as he leap off to the side then simply ran. Ran as fast as he could and did not look back.

I spy - Triell - Feb 04, 2011
Triell mouth met flesh, but right away he coud feel it pulling and released his short bite. Just as the wolf screamed for him to stop. Hopefully the wolf caught the message, Indru would not be fighting alone. The ashen male tried to slam into Triell, though force was felt, he kept his stand. Now, Triell really wanted another piece of him, but the trespasser came to his senses and took off from the lands of Swift River. Triell took steps near the river, and released a couple fierce barks after the trespasser. If Triell ever saw him again, he would not be very kind.
The adrenaline rush passing from his system his tail curled beneath his haunches. The hair slowly falling into place, his head dropping, ears twirled back, a look to his guardian. Gulity was written on his face. "I"m sorry Indru. I probably shouldn't have done that," He muttered, bright eyes upon the ground. However, his head rose slightly, hoping he would not be in to awfully much trouble.
He would pay the price it was worth it. A simple smile marked his mask, he looked at his brother but saw his injury was not severe. He turned to him, and licked affectionately at his chin. Tail wagging softly with his happiness. "I'm so glad to be home. Did Borlla and the other make it?" Face wrinkled with worried, knowing he had not seen them in a time, and was greatly trouble by the thought.
I spy - Ruiko - Feb 04, 2011
*barges in!*
[dohtml]
Ruiko prowled in the direction of Swift River, his creamy paws moving with a pace that was unlike the leisurely beast. He had been hunting in the Fields for a few hours, and had been unsuccessful with finding anything of interest. At first the hefty male had been worried about returning empty-handed, but as the wind shifted, a scent that stirred every fibre in his body to heat with anger had erased all thought of feeding his family and Ruiko had swiftly began in the direction of home. Weldering.
Luckily for the silver and dark male, Ruiko had come in a different direction that the male had fled to. Instead, the leader came upon his two brothers, and while his stance emanated with his fury, his eyes softened at the sight of Indru and Triell standing together. Indru’s pelt was ruffled, and Ruiko’s gaze instantly fell upon the wounded shoulder. It wasn’t damaged, but the idea that Weldering dared attack his family again stirred a low snarl from the male before he protectively padded forward, his muzzle smoothing over Triell in quiet worry as he checked for any injuries. “What happened?”

God, Rachel, go away! :P
Triell's attack was a success and Indru cheered for him in his mind, pleased that the young boy was proving so promising already, pride thrumming through him for his younger brother who felt almost like Indru imagined a son would. Weldering's attack on Triell had Indru snarling in anger and he leapt forward but it was too late as already the black male was running away, battered and bruised with his tail between his legs. Triell moved toward to bark fiercely at Weldering's depleting forward and Indru stepped with him, his powerful snarl supporting the young boy's threat. He was sure now that Weldering would not be so quick to return.
Triell's guilt shocked him and Indru shook his head, a wide grin showing his teeth once again (though without the menace of before) as he looked down at the black furred wolf. You did great, Triell, and Indru's soothing tone was coated in his pride for him and he leaned forward to lick the boy's muzzle and run his own along his head in reassurance. Father would be proud of the wolf you are becoming. As am I. The boy's concern for his family after what had just happened was also testament to him and Indru smiled, nodding. Borlla is fine, and some of the others have arrived, though we are waiting on some. Just as he finished speaking Indru heard the low snarl of Ruiko and, still fully with adrenaline, his fur bristled again and he only just held back a growl of his own at the abrupt arrival. The question distracted him briefly and he calmed down to answer, Weldering was here, demanding as usual, I chased him off and then Triell arrived and helped. It was the quickest explanation Indru could give and he knew Ruiko would only want the facts. Weldering was back, but not he was gone with his tail between his legs. He's gone. As battered and bruised as his ego, Indru confirmed, the hint of satisfaction at the result clear in his tone.

ooc; do i sense too much brotherly love? lol
Heart beat with pride, and his tail stroked across his hocks. He grinned widely too, happy to have appeased his brother so. It felt so good to be home, he'd missed Indru. Black muzzled nudged at his brother's jaws. Together again, he would have no more of this goodbye bussiness. He had had enough to last him a lifetime. Bright eyes widened, his whole body wagging, when Indru spoke of his pride, and the pride their father would have had. Triell could of been on cloud nine. He breathed a sigh of his relief, knowing his sister was safe. How that was possible was beyond him, though he suspected her guardian angels worked over time. It did strike him, and his brother didn't say who else. Who else of their family was not here?
Before he could utter a letter, the snarl of his brother Ruiko brought his head around. The young male's tail rose and fell happy to the sight of the large figure of his other brother. Triell nodded proudly when his brother stated the facts. Feeling it summed it up everything. He did not wish to interupt, but his stomach let out his own low growl. "Indru, can we hunt soon? I'm starving." He thought his question was rather grownup. He could wait for them to finish as long as he knew he could have a bit to eat.

Triell gave a wag of greeting as Ruiko continued his ministrations to make sure the boy was unharmed. He felt relief seep to his chest as he realized Triell was unharmed, though he did hear the harsh rumble of his younger brother’s stomach. Taking a step away from the swarthy youth, Ruiko’s eyes fell upon Indru as his second explained what had happened. Ruiko felt the fur along his spine bristle at the audacity of the silver male even daring to come so close to their pack territory after what he had done. “Good,” he murmured in light praise, his eyes switching back and forth between the two. Ruiko was grateful to know that Indru had been here, as Ruiko did not trust Weldering around his siblings any longer.
His brown ears flickered lightly at Triell’s desire, and Ruiko felt stung for a moment that his younger brother hadn’t uttered a syllable to him yet. He hid this well though, and the tawny wolf cast Indru a quick glance. “Go ahead,” he urged quietly, his eyes trailing the area Weldering had disappeared to. “I’ll go make sure Weldering was smart enough to put enough distance between us and him.”

Too much? Neva!
The praise from Ruiko made Indru bristle slightly, feeling like he too was a pup who needed rewarding, but he let it past without rebuke or incident, too relieved to have Triell home and safe. Though he was safe it did not seem he had eaten in a while (unsurprisingly as his hunting skills were just newly developed) and when he heard Triell's stomach make a growl of his own and then the boy's question, he laughed as he smiled down at him. Of course buddy, he confirmed, noting Ruiko's assurance and wondering curiously about the subtle change in his body language, not sure of its source. You can show me how good you are at hunting now with all those ways I showed you. Most of their time outside Relic Lore, waiting for the water to return, had been spent with the pup, helping to train him and perfect the skills that would be so useful in later life. It was something both he and Ruiko had experienced until Rihael and Honijo and he was determined that Triell would not miss out.
Indru nodded at Ruiko's plan, agreeing with the idea but relieved all the same that he could go with Triell instead. Okay then. We'll go find some food for the pack, yeah, Triell? Indru asked, smiling at the boy and trying to make him more equal and feel more adult to show that he was proud of him. The pups were growing up and considering what they had been through already he was keen to see what adults they became. Besides, soon he would have to break the news about Kinis's disappearance, something he knew Triell would take hard.

I spy - Triell - Feb 07, 2011
The pup had been apart from Ruiko, the bond between himself, and Indru was evident because of he time they'd spent. But it did not mean he loved his other, elder sibling less. The young boy was not sure what to expect when he'd returned home, and he had prepared himself for the worse. Ruiko, he did not doubt would survive, but he just didn't let his little heart hope for too much. He was inwardly thrilled to death having the two of them, there with him. In his latest growings, he was simply torn between acting the child and the cool adult. Smile broadened, if that was possible, seeing Ruiko was just as proud at their work. It was everything to him to have them proud.
Thank goodness Indru was light spirited, laughing and smiling. Triell had missed the happiness, like he missed the verdant landscape. "Yahoo!" He shouted, eager to prove himself. His skills were being mastered, and he couldn't wait to show them off. Ruiko stated about making sure Weldering had dissapered, and Triell froze. In reality, yes he would see him again, but...it hurt to have him go already. The young Tainn stepped the gap, black nose nudgeing at the creamy throat, licking at his brother's chin. "Promise you'll be back for dinner?" A soft whine followed. Hoping he would, since he was not coming with.
Brielfy attention turned to Indru. Yellow-orange gaze lit with delight and surprise. Him find food for the pack? Was exciting news to him. "Heck ya!" He chimed, feeling like his old self, back with his family. Back in safety's arms.

Ruiko witnessed personally the bond that Indru shared with his siblings daily – he hadn’t been jealous until now. As the dark youth and his littermate spoke between one another in excitement, the leader felt a pang at Kinis’ disappearance. As Indru felt responsible for Borlla and Triell, Ruiko had felt responsible for Kinis, and when the youth had not returned home one evening, Ruiko had desperately trailed his scent until night had turned to day. Kinis’ scent went far beyond the known realms of Relic Lore, and finally, Ruiko had realized that the boy had not been harmed or lost.. he had simply run.
A stoical warrior, Ruiko rarely shared his thoughts and feelings with his family; it was who he was. Yet it didn’t mean he loved them less than Indru. It certainly didn’t mean he worried for them less.. But he did not coddle them either. As the two discussed their hunt, Ruiko’s mind wandered to darker thoughts, not understanding how Weldering dared return. Ruiko did not make empty threats; he had meant it when he had said Weldering would regret the day he had decided to trespass on land and claim a family pack for his own. Triell relieved him from these thoughts momentarily as the dark youth nudged at his throat and chin. Blinking, Ruiko glanced down to the boy who was so eager to prove to the pack he could hunt. A smile coursed along the beast’s muzzle, and bending down to nip playfully at Triell’s ear, the leader gave a nod. “Of course. We’ll have a family dinner tonight, how does that sound?” Most of the siblings were still missing, but that did not mean the current ones in the pack could not enjoy a night together.
