RE: waiting for you on a bent knee - Koda - Mar 24, 2014 End thread? [dohtml] The brief moment in wait for her to answer his question felt like an eternity as her stared into her single eye, waiting for her to give him the response he'd been waiting for. His heart lurched in his chest, then beat a mile a minute as he mulled over the words she gave; it was the most polite dismissal he'd ever been given. He would have rather her chase him away then pretend that her love for him was still there, he could tell that the light that once shown so bright in her eyes for him was nearly gone and it pained him the most. He didn't know how to fix things, all he had left was time on his side and yet even then there was no guarantee that what was once so perfect could return back to its normal ways and he felt wedged between a rock and a hard place. Feeling his breathing grow heavy he shifted on his thick paws, triangular ears pulled back tight to his skull as he averted his eyes to the ground in shame. He could sense that his company was not well perceived and had they met in a totally different circumstance then she probably would have continued on her way without the simplest of greeting; it seemed that the two were strangers in their own home. He sighed deeply to push back the guilt that overcame him and lifted to all fours to quiet the pleas running through his skull, if only he could have one more chance! There was no second chances with Nina, she was a tough woman, a reason he had fallen for her and also how he had lost her. "You're right, I should go..." he spoke finally, feeling the sensation to bolt from the area. He needed space to think, as disbelief had suddenly overcame him; he had lost his love forever. Within a moment he was turning on his toes and heading in the opposite direction, too afraid to look back for fear of running to her with a plea for forgiveness, no he would not do that this time, he would give her the space she needed. She deserved it after all. -Exit Koda- |
