RE: when you let her go - Dziban - Feb 28, 2014 [dohtml] Time stood still for them, though it seemed like hours had passed. Was it some strange time lapse, or were the events happening inside of his head? They were questions that he couldn't find the answer to, nor did he care to. Something very odd was going on around them, but it was all so vivid. The heat from the pale fae was burning hot against his skin, but everything else felt numb. It was a sensation like none he'd ever felt before, but he couldn't elaborate on why. Her voice brought him back to the present, like a cold burst of air. Her inquiry struck him oddly. Why would she care to hear about the things she muttered in her sleep? It was almost always unimportant, just a few names, phrases. Just things that anyone would dream about. Dziban was sure even he mumbled while he slumbered. "It was kind of hard to understand, mostly things that didn't make any sense." He thought back to when her barely alive body laid on the floor of his den. "You mentioned something about an Eli? Occasionally a Bella something, and another name that sounded really out there. I couldn't make it out, but it almost always came after the Eli." Silence engulfed them for a moment while he tried to remember more. It was so insignificant to him at the time, that he hadn't bothered to compartmentalize any of it. Racking his brain, he picked out the phrase that made the most sense. Most of the things she'd said were incomprehensible, but this one he was pretty sure about. "There was a lake, and a path, but you never mentioned where. You sounded as though you were looking for something?" He ended it with a question, hoping she would elaborate. |
