The man watched nervously as he waited for her reaction to his question. It wasn't often that he had that feeling, except when he was around Namara, which was to have been expected, especially since she was his mate for the time being. In the end, it turned out that he truly didn't have anything to worry about, everything was going to be fine, and Finn happily agreed to his request. Joy spread through the man immediately, pleased that he was being reacquainted with his long lost friend and could he say....love? It was not long before the woman in front of him bowed down in submission, and immediately began to step forward, his head held high above her. When she looked up at him, he saw a familiar sparkle in her eyes, something that he appreciated highly. When she spoke to him, he chuckled lowly, happily accepting the compliment before he bent down and lightly ran his muzzle over her own, marking her with his scent. Things were going to be better for him, and hopefully for her in the upcoming days. He spoke quickly, before he forgot, "As you look the same. The same vibrant beauty I first laid my eyes on."

His voice was teasing but it also head a serious edge to it, his nose twitching slightly when he smelt food nearby. Mentioning with his head for her to come with him, he spoke quietly, "Come. We can grab some sustenance and then I will take you home and how you around." He walked purposefully towards where he was sure that the carcass was, and happily stood by, looking at the elk. Unfortunately, it looked like it had frozen to death, but was still edible, which was the important thing to Ash and Finn. Bowing his head playfully, he mentioned for her to step forward, clearing his throat once more before he spoke, "Only the best for the Lady Millinae." Smirking slightly, he awaited for her to begin eating before he would join her.

RE: With the Wind at my Back - Finn - Apr 15, 2014

Sounds good to me!

Finn's eyes flutter as Ash brings his head downward and sweeps his muzzle across hers. His scent now stings her nostrils; her face remains hot. With her smile soft now, she nods curtly before following him along toward the scent of a carcass. Immediately her stomach begins to gripe, demanding satisfaction of plenty of food. Finn quietly watches Ash as she paces diagonally to him. Her mind begins to wander- does he have a mate? Finn's brown eyes widen slightly at her surprising thought. She purses her lips now, head tilting down slightly as they near the carcass. After she takes in a breath to get herself together, she keeps replaying what he just said in her mind.

She was still beautiful? She had started to feel old. Her gray-silver coat hadn't lost its sheen. If she were to get gray furs, though, who would be able to tell? A small smile tugs at the corner of her lip at the thought. Finn's ears perk as Ash speaks, looming over the meal before them. "Oh, my. Why thank ya, Ash." She releases a youthful chuckle now before lowering her head to the cold elk's flesh. It had been awhile since she had eaten elk.

She opens her jaws now, ripping into the flesh and tearing as best as she could. The flesh was quite cold and much more difficult to rip. Finn shakes her small head slightly, tearing a chunk of meat off near the ribs. Her jaws work the meat as she brings her gaze to the Hervok's. Her tail sways. After swallowing her mouthful of food, she is tempted to lean forward and nudge Ash in thanks. Finn had felt as if that would be going too far. Instead, she lowers her head again, awaiting the man to rip a chunk of flesh before she does once more.

She was quick to make her way to the meal, and the Hervok was pleased to see her quickly take her share. When she did so, it made Ash more comfortable when he finally did start forward to rip a chunk of meat off the carcass. This winter had been hard for them, and now that meat was slowly starting to return to the lands, hopefully everything would catch up back within the pack. Ash did not wish for things to become out of paw and he knew that if he didn't get new members soon, his pack would be the one falling apart. There was nothing more than he wanted than a family, and it seemed that the world wanted to do everything in its power to keep that away from him. While he nibbled on his meal, he took a moment to let his eyes wonder across to Finn. Not much had changed for the female, except a few scars here and there, and Ash found himself pleased that she hadn't changed much else, it meant she had been safe and healthy.

When he was finished, he patiently waited for the woman, his mossy green eyes looking away from her respectfully while she ate the rest of her food. The large man took deep breaths, his gaze wondering over to her every once and awhile to check on her progress. When he was definitely sure that she was done with her meal, he stood on all fours and approached her calmly, his chin lifted slightly. "Come. Let us go home," he spoke to her softly before turning on his heel and starting towards Whisper Caverns, quite pleased that he was now returning with an old friend.
