RE: Winterspell - Neoma - Apr 19, 2014 [dohtml] Watching him carefully, noting that his face went quite grim after her question, she went silent and waited as he broke the ice, not realising just how close to the water she was. A small gasp later as Ace went through the ice and there was freezing water being splashed over her face, chest and paws, causing her to give a surprised yelp from the sharpness that was cold water. The swarthy female leapt away from the edge, beginning to shake away the water only to have a few droplets land on her from Ace shaking himself.
Glaring lightly at Ace, soon a devious smirk crossed Neoma’s face. Yes, she was grateful that he broke the ice-with her size, she’d just have stared longingly at the fish before moving onwards in search for easier prey. But with his help, there was food for her to catch.
But first things first...
When he looked away to motion towards the hole, the fae couldn't stop the feeling of being a cheeky pup and hopefully using both surprise and all of her body weight to send Ace skittering back into the water.
Table by PuppyThief [/dohtml] RE: Winterspell - Ace - Apr 19, 2014 @Neoma [dohtml] The Silver Male only realized what the darkly furred she-wolf was doing at the moment her bodyweight slammed into him, not forceful like it would be in a fight, but playful, and he felt himself trip over his paws as he attempted to move out of the way and let her carry on towards the water. But instead, he himself splashed into the freezing water, and with a gasp he flailed around to get back to his feet. Laughing, Ace clambered to his feet and shook out his waterlogged coat, spraying it all around him. Silver eyes met Neoma’s pale yellow eyes, and he hopped out of the creek once again, wet fur dripping water down his legs and creating small puddles at his feet. He hoped he didn’t look like a drowned rat, but with such a thick coat that was now drenched, it was possible. Grinning at her, he shook his head again to clear the water from his face. “Well I wasn’t expecting that,” he said with a chuckle. It wasn’t often that a wolf surprised him, and even more so a female. It was different than what he was used to, as he grew up mostly around males; his sisters had always stayed out of his way, and to this day he still didn’t know why. But the female before him didn’t seem to mind roughing it up a bit, and so he hesitantly lowered his front end, tail waving up in the air, but not dominantly, playfully. A playful growl emitted from his jaws and he seemed to ask her silently with his eyes if she wanted to rough it up playfully with him. Neoma’s eyes sparkled mischievously and a laugh bubbled lightly in her throat when he came back up, spluttering and she almost commented when he was back on dry land that he resembled a drowned rat but decided not to. However, she was somewhat taken back when, though a little hesitantly, Ace lowered his front end and waved his tail playfully, a small growl emitting from his throat just as playful. Well, this was unexpected. She never really engaged in playing with her siblings and they never engaged her. She had played of course but it never felt like this,
Had Neoma ever known what love truly was, she’d have recognised it the instant it made her heart flutter the moment she started speaking to this gentlemanly male. And later, Neoma would have wondered if that is what had made her act so out of character, what made her allow a playful grin cross her face as she hopped over to Ace and after bopping him on the nose, darted off with a flourish that asked him to follow her and inviting him to see if he could catch her.
But in the current moment, she didn’t care as she danced away from the male with a joyful glint in her eyes and her heart feeling as light as her feets as she did indeed dart away, tossing over her shoulder. ”Catch me if you can!” She was heading towards the boulder she first had stepped out from near the creek, the same hiding spot that Ace hadn’t been able to see her, when he was so lost in his thoughts.
If her mother had been around, she'd laugh lightly and comment on how they made such a dyad. Her mother was always using strange words like that. Table by PuppyThief [/dohtml] RE: Winterspell - Ace - Apr 19, 2014 @Neoma Shamefully posts shitty post... [dohtml] At his bow, the darkly furred she-wolf grinned at him, and he watched as she dashed up to him, tapping him playfully on the nose with a paw before darting away with a flourish that seemed to invite him to chase after her. Grinning as she dared him to catch her, Ace sprang from his playful bow and chased after her, a joyful look on his face. It had been a long time since he had had any fun similar to what he was doing at that moment, and they had only been with his brothers, which was more fight than play, but at least they hadn’t been out to really hurt each other. But with Neoma he was just wanting to have fun and forget his sadness for a while. In his bout of happiness at finding a new friend to play with, the scent of a deer nearby did not arouse his senses, and as they came upon a boulder, Ace leaped up and scrabbled with his paws to pull himself up before he slipped back down again. Shaking his head again, he stared down at the darkly furred she-wolf below him, grinning. His fur was still wet, and drops of water dripped down onto the boulder where it ran down the side. Silver eyes glancing at Neoma, he stood proudly upon the boulder. “I’ll get you, don’t worry…” he said softly, his voice trailing off. Suddenly jumping off the boulder, he landed on his paws and quickly sprung forwards towards the female, aiming to gently knock her over with his heavy weight. [/dohtml] RE: Winterspell - Neoma - Apr 27, 2014 [dohtml] Ducking behind the boulder, Nemoa’s yellow eyes peeked out around the stony barrier to only frown when her eyes couldn’t find the other wolf. Where had he gotten to? Taking a few steps out from the boulder, the frown still in place, she wondered where he went. There was no where to hide, except in the still half frozen water nearby but she hadn’t heard a splash....
Cold drips dropped onto her shoulders, surprising her greatly as she jerked her head upwards. Only to be greeted by mischievous silver eyes that stared down at her before the larger male was leaping off the boulder and looked to knock her off her paws when he landed. Had she been a slower wolf, it might of worked.
Yelping lightly, Neoma pulled her head above the water quickly, spluttering and digging her front paws heavily into the creek’s banks. Pulling herself up, one would think she looked more the drowne rat then Ace had when he had emerged from the forgotten fishing spot. Table by PuppyThief [/dohtml] RE: Winterspell - Ace - Apr 28, 2014 @Neoma [dohtml] The darkly furred she-wolf attempted to move backwards, out of his range, and she would have completed her maneuver successfully had it not been for the slippery creek pebbles on the bank of the river, and along with the slight push he managed to get her with, she stumbled backwards into the creek with a splash. He himself, tripped on the loose pebbles as well, but managed to only partially submerge himself in the cool water, and quickly back out, shaking out his creamy fur again. With a large smile on his face, he turned to face Neoma, and burst out laughing. Her fur was all slick and smooth, sticking to the slimness and curves over her body, and he had to say she looked quite hilarious, but as the ever-respectful gentleman he was, he did not voice his thoughts. Clearing his throat, the Silver Male nosed her dripping wet side gently, a smile still on his face. He hadn’t intentionally wanted to push her into the creek, but every time he looked at her wet figure he couldn’t help but want to laugh. He had opened his jaws to say something when a delicious taint on the wind caught his attention. Turning around and lifting his muzzle into the air, Ace breathed in deeply the scent of deer, before glancing back at Neoma, grinning. “I smell deer nearby, let’s go investigate.” Waiting just a second, he padded towards the scent. Maybe if there was enough of it left they could steal a few bites before hauling it back to the den site for the rest of the pack. They needed their strength anyways, and he was feeling a little on the breaking-the-rules side at that moment.
[/dohtml] RE: Winterspell - Neoma - Apr 29, 2014 [dohtml] Upon getting onto dry land, Neoma heard laughter and Neoma couldn’t stop the glare that was shot over to Ace as he laughed. Neoma prided herself on her looks and Eru be damned if anyone laughed at her looks! But she found she couldn’t stay mad for long as she listened to the laughter, the anger that had flared up like a wildfire soon melting away. Neoma blinked in confusion when it happened. Why did she not snap at him for laughing at her? What was going on with her?
With her stomach rumbling, Neoma followed after the light male and was quickly walking by his side. Well, after shaking her dark coat free of water right next to him. He did push her into the creek, even if it was unintentionally. She had to get him back somehow after all. Table by PuppyThief [/dohtml] RE: Winterspell - Ace - May 10, 2014 @Neoma - Short exit post D: [dohtml] It was not long before they came upon a carcass; the remains of a deer, sprawled upon the ground. Glancing at Neoma, the Silver nudged her shoulder gently with his own, before padding towards the deer, sniffing around to make sure there were no other animals around, or the predator that had killed the deer, who might come back for more. The deer had been half eaten already, but there was enough for everyone to not be completely hungry afterwards. Looking back at the darkly furred she-wolf, Ace gestured with his creamy head. “We should take this back to the pack before the creature that took it down comes back for more.” He grinned slyly, knowing that with the both of them, they could take on almost anything and come out the victor, but it would be safer and easier to quickly grab it and leave before anything did come their way and fight for the right of the meal. Grabbing firmly at the base of the deer’s neck, he waited until Neoma had seized it near the other end before walking backwards, partially dragging it on the ground, partially lifting it up into the air, all the way back to the cache in Magnolia Glen. It would take quite a lot of effort, but it would be worth it.
[/dohtml] RE: Winterspell - Neoma - May 10, 2014 [dohtml] When they arrived to the carcass, Neoma followed Ace‘s lead and was on high alert for whatever had taken down the deer. Had it been a bear? Or a pack of Coyotes? Either way, as she swiveled her head and sniffed around as she padded around the deer. Whatever had killed it had eaten some of the meat, making it easier to lift. When Ace spoke, she glanced over the deer at him and nodded. They could definitely take down whatever came back for the deer, if it did.
The moment Ace had grasped the neck of the animal, Neoma was gripping the other end firmly and her stomach rumbled loudly as she bit into it. Holding back a groan of hunger, the two carried the carcass away. Why had she decided to play with Ace, instead of catching a fish or two?
It didn’t matter, not really as they finally reached the cache where any leftovers would be placed and letting go of the carcass, Neoma wondered if Phineas and Borlla might approve of her a little more, when their eyes rested on the meal? After all, she hadn’t touched the meat other than to carry it and she could twist her day around a little, claiming to be on patrol with Ace when it was discovered. Of course, if the lie was to be believed, Ace would not have to be around when it was uttered but a pinch in her heart made her frown at the thought. No, if pressed, the female would tell the truth. But only if pressed.
Shaking her head, Neoma lifted her head and the rest of the pack was called forth for the meal. Table by PuppyThief [/dohtml] {Exit and finish} |
