RE: lift your eyes - Maksim - Jul 27, 2014 it's a wrap! bit of PP regarding Karina--hope you don't mind, Alace! [dohtml] KING OF CUT ROCK RIVER
IF YOU DO NOT FIGHT YOU CANNOT WIN
As his daughter nipped softly at the fur on his ankle, Maksim listened to Falcon as she explained that she needed to discuss things with her brother. The king of the river nodded, opening his mouth to speak. Yet the young wolf quickly cuts in before he can say a word, explaining that she does not wish to come across disrespectful, or not thankful for the offer. Rather, its a case of he's all she has left and she doesn't wish to make a decision without his input. She asks him if he could wait, possibly, for her to take the chance to talk with her brother of joining Cut Rock River. The leader can most certainly oblige. “Of course,” he states calmly. “Family is important, more important than most things. To the wolves of the River, we see one another as such.” Mostly because many had left home in search of somewhere to belong, or something to do. Maksim himself had left his home, far behind him now, to spread the family name, to find his own future. One where it wasn't handed to him on a silver platter. The agouti Mackenzie Valley wolf wanted to earn his keep. “Return to the borders once you have discussed things with your brother, Falcon. Karina I will await your return and your sibling's arrival, should things go well. Until then. Farewell.” Maksim lowered his head, gently grasping at the scruff of his child's next, despite her mumbled protests. He knew his daughter had to be tired, that she would sleep well. He hummed softly, a song his mother often lulled him to sleep with as a pup. He didn't quite pull it off as beautifully, but it was better that nothing. |
