RE: all my heroes are ghosts - Kova - Feb 17, 2015

Kova was a bit tense, unlike his calm and collected sis, as the two young males had their little confrontation. He didn't know if they were always like this, or if this little display was a rare occurrence. However, the young silver wolf tilted his head cocking it towards the right while he silently viewed the spectacle. Sniffing at the two males again and evaluating their scents, Kova let his ears slide to the sides of his head in concern. They had a family's scents on them, kind of like how he and Noble smelled as brother and sister as well as of their pack. The young wolf wondered if these brothers had a pack nearby. It was logical to think that since the Lagina's had met not one, but two wolves with the same smells. Would their pack be as welcoming as the two strange boys were being?
Kova caught the silent greeting from the dark male. Though the gray wolf awkwardly gave a small wave of his tail back. He didn't want to get caught between the red hued boy and his darker brother. With a near silent huff, Kova whispered back to Noble once more.
"Maybe we should just leave them? They found the deer thing first." He said softly before glancing at Noble to see what she wanted to do. Though Kova guessed that his sister would want to stay and chat with their age mates despite the obvious tensions between the brothers.
Slowly he pushed at the dirt with his large silver platter-like paws. Kova was growing more conscious of his own standing as well as with the way he and his sister acted in comparison to the other boys. Though he wished he could find some way to distract them and make everybody calm and happy again.

Everything was just barely ok the way things stood. Neither boy had spoken to them yet, though Noble couldn't really hold that against them. After all, sometimes she ignored her own brother. In the awkward silence uncertainty built. More and more it was looking like a game was not forth-coming and her ever present self-preservation was beginning to rear it's head. She tread water, glancing back and forth between the two strangers and hoped the encounter would settle into something friendlier soon.
It didn't. Eyes widened when the blonde tail flung over the sturdy boys back. Silentium snarled a word to his brother and Noble's ears flattened in startled submission. She was already sliding backwards and away when Kova proposed leaving. She didn't even care about the deer or who had attacked and killed it. Her breath hitched at the thought of one of the strange boys turning their attack on them. Silently she nodded back to Kova, eyes wide when she finally looked over at him. "Let's go." She stumbled out. It might have been worded as an order, but it was a plea. It was a soft request, but she didn't care if Silentium or Unitas heard it. She was ready to go and desperately wanted to have Kova at her side when they fled the thicket.
Her backward slid turned around and, pointed towards home now, she waited. Once Kova stepped with her the dark, jumpy girl trotted out of the thickets much quicker than she entered them.

RE: all my heroes are ghosts - Unitas - Feb 24, 2015
I need to post him or he'll go inactive, sorry Silentium - go ahead and skip Kova if you guys want

Unitas was not at all phased by his brothers harsh "NO" and the intense stare that came with it. Dodging his brothers bad mood and moving away from Silentium's food, Tas decided to try to make friends with the pair of wolf pups opposite of his brother. Languidly he slipped closer to the two other children keeping a submissive pose so as not to alarm them. He tried to catch up to @Noble to stop her from leaving. Then he spoke warmly flashing a smile to the shadow coated girl and the river gray boy.
"Please don't leave me alone with him..." He said coolly while watching Noble attempt to leave. Then he spoke in a more hushed tone so that his brother couldn't hear his words. "He's a bit of a brute and I apologize for his intimidation tactics. Usually we get along just fine..." He muttered to the two Lagina's quickly before giving them a devilish smile and holding himself tall and proper once more.
"My name is Unitas Hervok, and this one here is Silentium Hervok, my dearly beloved brother." He spoke louder this time hoping his brother would catch the introductions and quite with the annoying push comes to shove stuff.

RE: all my heroes are ghosts - Silentium - Mar 11, 2015

The fact that the other pair had become uncomfortable and were trying to escape was completely lost on Si. Instead he was all consumed on stopping his dark brother from reaching the carcass behind him, which was all for nought. Tas ignored his warning to side step him and ignored the deer as well to speak to the other two who were creeping away. Whipping around the green eyes focused on the trio and the functional blonde ear strained forward in an attempt to catch a snippet of the words being spoken. An attempt at which failed miserably, all that reached him was a muffled murmured of his brother's voice.
By the time Unitas had used the sickly sweet tone the blonde boy had slipped away himself, turning and fleeing the scene. It had been the sight of fear and discomfort on the two strangers faces that had driven the already on edge boy past his line. Silentium couldn't deal with the social situation anymore, not with his brother controlling how it was going and obviously poisoning the other pups against him. It had been his discovery and his dream to bring it back to the caches to impress their mother but once more the dark boy ruined everything.
Self loathing filled the Hervok pup as he sprinted through the dense forest, ignoring the branches slashing at his face and body. Fighting back against the moisture in his eyes he gulped loudly against the lump in his throat. Hatred filled him as he ducked beneath some roots into the den he had dug for himself, he would make his brother pay for this and he knew it.

At this point only one thing could have stopped her... and it never came. Noble slipped around the deer, the cloying scent of death thick in her nostrils, and not once did Kova call out to stop or wait. It was the only thing that would have slowed her, would have turned her on feet shaking with nerves to help him. His silence was all the green light she needed. Her feet dug into the moldy leaf-litter and started to haul for home.
She didn't get very far.
Just past the carcass, only a few yards into her escape a dark shape rushed up to her. Unitas's benign intentions were not interpreted as such, a high pitched yelp left her throat as the dark boy cut off the escape route. Feet stumbled and tripped over themselves as they worked to slow her moment, finally swerving at the last moment to avoid touching him. He was begging her to save him... from his own brother? Her eyes flashed to Silentium, distrust clear in the gold. Was he really that unpredictable?
The whole situation was confusing, compounded by Silentium fleeing the scene. By now her hackles had risen to the point of discomfort, each blade of dark hair taut against her skin. She continued, edging around Unitas now. Introductions were given and she paused to stare, puzzled over what etiquette should dictate now. "Noble." She finally hissed to him, ears pinning back as her eyes swept for Kova. Was he coming or not? He was welcome to stay and entertain this enigmatic boy, but she was done. This was too much for her. "Don't follow me." She intoned severely to Unitas and then fled for home.

RE: all my heroes are ghosts - Kova - Mar 15, 2015
Sorry I didn't have much to say with Kova before
[dohtml]
Kova glanced sideways to his sister once more as she spoke up about leaving. He nodded silently in agreement as the brownish black she wolf turned to slip away from the group. He paused for a moment viewing their two age mates as the dark one noticed Kova and Noble's intent to escape. Kova lurched forward attempting to keep pace with Unitas while the Hervok veered straight for Noble. Unsettled by the black wolf males words and interest in Noble, Kova pushed forward to stand by his sisters side. In reality he had placed himself between Unitas and Noble which was a good position to defend his sister from, but Kova hadn't intended the movement to be interpreted as such.
Unitas introduced himself as Kova stared at the dark wolf threateningly. He was very tuned into Noble's distraught emotions right now, and though he didn't feel as uncomfortable with the situation her feelings came first. Surprised that she gave her name to the Hervok, Kova followed suit with a quite, "...Kova Lagina..." before stepping closer to Noble for comfort. Dimly he realized that the golden wolf had disappeared, but the bulk of his attention was caught by the words that Noble left Unitas.
Don't follow me...
Kova was glad when Noble started off again. He didn't even give the black male a farewell as the gray wolf started after his sister. He relaxed after realizing that her path was one pointed towards home though Kova wondered what their parents would say about their adventure.

Unitas still smiled invitingly to the two age mates who hesitantly introduced themselves as Noble and Kova Lagina. His slowly wagging tail stopped though as Noble pushed away from him and gave the dark wolf a rather rude farewell. If you could call that light warning to not follow her a farewell. Scoffing loudly Unitas then turned to look towards Kova as the silver hued boy shot him a threatening glare before chasing after his departing sister.
"Well I didn't like your company either!" He called back with an angry edge to his voice while watching the two strangers run off away from him. Whipping his head around annoyed at the other two pups Tas then paused as he took in the empty landscape. Where'd brother go? He wondered quietly while lowering his head and sniffing around for Silentium. Tense and ready for his golden brother to attack him, Tas roamed around the kill site for a few minutes before settling down by the dead cloven animal. In the end he did wind up getting what he had originally wanted. Though the way he had gotten his prize was not how he was expecting things to turn out. Unitas was happy all the same. He had a whole carcass to keep to himself since Silentium had fled the area.
The dark pelted boy filled his belly while occasionally looking out for Silentium and other dangers. There was no doubt that the dark Hervok was blushing with overconfidence and pride of his actions. Now that he had the carcass to himself Unitas surely wouldn't be giving it away so easily like his brother had. He'd even go so far as to whine, groan, complain, and growl at any of the adults who came sniffing by. This was his prize to feast upon, and nobody could take that away from him.
The forest graons as a slight breeze passes through the thin branches of the tall trees. The wind ruffles up Unitas's coat as he lays down to rest with a full belly. His teal orbs watch the birds that dare to pass in and out of his vision. Slowly the wind and full belly began to lull the woodlands prince into a calm sleep.
