RE: The Golden Boy - Deacon - Nov 08, 2014

I got a bit carried away... @Octavius

Curse My Tongue

Deacon Archer Lyall

And Bless My Soul

"Other family members? You mean there's more?"

"Of course there's more! I heard we even have some far far away from here." He whispered the last part like it was the most grand secret of all secrets. "Lot's of us Archers and Lyalls." The young boy's voice was a soft coo to his new "brother" Lord Octavius.

"My mom always says to listen to your elders because they're trying to keep you safe." Turning his head to look away from the other boy Deacon rolled his eyes. He had heard all the lectures before from the elders and didn't need wolves his own age lecturing him on it too. "I know I know. I've heard all the lectures before. Trust me. After getting lost before I've heard my own deal of lectures, orders, stories and more." Deacon grumbled slightly. He knew that getting lost was partially his fault but he thought it was highly unfair that he had to be lectured about it. He didn't know any better then and he had slowly learned better now.

Keeping up their strolling he knew they would soon reach the den. The Archer-Lyall prince could tell by the scent growing stronger. His ears perked up at the sound of the Golden Boy speaking again. "I don't have any siblings, but I bet yours are cool. Are they any fun to play with? I mean, I'm not- I'm not good at any games, but they sound like they're fun." The dark boy had to fight back a laugh to even managed one word to Octavius. "I'll tell you a bit about my siblings. Let's start off with Castiel. He's an okay sort of brother. He can be fun at times and other times he's a real butt." He sighed softly wondering where his brother might be right now.

Now it was time to tell Octavius about his favorite eldest brother. "Next we have my oldest brother Skoll. I like him. He's a bit strange but he's like that for a reason. I'd like to think of him as a dark knight. He's always so brave and bold. I wanna be just like him when I grow up." Thinking of his brother Skoll he was curious what his brother might be up to. Perhaps sleeping the day light away.

Next on his list was Morganna, his truly lovely sister. "Of course we also have my only sister Morganna. She's a real beauty. Being the princess out of all of us princes." Pausing he shot Octavius a look. "But don't you dare underestimate her. She'll likely rip you apart if you brush her fur the wrong way." It was offered as a far warning to Octavius. Deacon knew his sister was capable of things he never wanted to experience. Which was partially the reason why he gave Golden Boy the delicacy of having a warning.

"Then we have Greer. He's a jerk. Never wanting to hang out with us. Always lurking in the shadows. I never really see him unless I steal a glance at night or in passing." It was obvious his words were laced with a harsh venom of a light hatred of his brother Greer. Deep down in his heart he knew he would always love Greer because he was family and he had no choice but to love him but for now Deacon wouldn't know better. Instead he would let this hatred of sorts brew in his mind and soul until it might just bubble over. Soon enough Deacon found himself snarling to no one in particular except the mental image of his brother Greer. "I hate him." His words were icy cold like the snow on the ground. "He thinks he's so much better than us. Never showing his face and acting like a weirdo. Lurking in the dark and shit." The last word rolled off his tongue so smoothly. He had heard his father Angier say it one time and Deacon had silently been practicing it. His mind had been averted from telling Lord Octavius about the good things of his siblings to ranting harshly about his brother.

It was a bit too late until he noticed what was coming out of his mouth. Eyes wide he looked to Golden Boy. "You will not for any reason at all say a single word about what I said about my brother Greer. I'm trusting you Octavius Percival Lyall." His words were serious and if Octavius chose to go against Deacon's words then he would make sure the Golden Boy would pay. Deacon would make sure that no one would know about what was said this day.
