RE: your friends of the north - Minka - Jan 20, 2015 So sorry I took so long guys!
[dohtml] Minka had answered her children's questions with the same patience she always had, some might find the constant curiosity annoying but she knew it was how her pups learned. In fact she rather enjoyed how much interest they took in everything that surrounded them. So she had told Kova that their ally's pack was called Cut Rock River and later that she wasn't sure the names of Maksim's children only that he had two sons and a daughter. Noble's boredom was not lost on her, she knew that she was not nearly as interested in plants as her son but the mother smiled at how she perked up at the sight of the woodpecker. While plants weren't interesting to the girl it was obvious that prey was, perhaps her daughter would follow her own paw steps and pursue hunting as her speciality. Finally though they had reached the border and while they stopped a respectable distance back when the initial call was made Kova seemed to have a different idea. Distracted by her daughter's question she had turned her head, "The pack's name is Cut Rock River, my friend Maksim leads along with his mate Kis---" Her voice cut off when she caught sight of the silver form in her peripheral vision, instantly she was on her paws. Stepping forward but stopping at the border she practically hissed, "Kova Lagina you get back here this instant, you know far better than to behave this way." Rarely ever did she raise her voice towards her children, usually a stern glance or tone was enough but this was almost worse than when Kova had taken to wandering from the territory by himself. It would seem her words had come too late because before her son could return to her side a young one she could only assume to be the son of Maksim appeared. Ready to apologize for her son's behaviour her friend appeared, along with two more of his pups. Suddenly her son's scolding was forgotten, at least for the moment and a smile graced her tawny maw. Wagging her tail in greeting she nodded towards her children, "All is well within the Downs, though I thought it was time my children came to meet their allies. All is well here I hope? Do forgive me for not sending word of my visit before I just appeared at your borders." Much to her surprise the daughter beside the agouti male suddenly piped up using both of her children's names. Chuckling Minka raised her eyebrows at Maksim, she had not been aware that their pups had already become acquainted let alone friends. Nodding down in approval towards her own children she gave them permission to go play if they wished, though she gave Kova another stern glance to behave. He might be friends with one of the children from the pack but that didn't give him permission to act as if he owned the place. RE: your friends of the north - Noble - Feb 21, 2015 posting order seems... all over the place, lol so here's Noble again![dohtml] She was already scooting away when Minka gave the allowing nod to her pups. They didn't seem so bad now, Noble reasoned to herself. Kova was here and she felt an instant affinity to Karina. Certainly another girl pup would not mean her harm, it seemed an unspoken rule. Especially not if Karina wanted to be friends. In fact, Noble hadn't even seen the nod, being drawn into the antics of the other children. The dark girl ambled closer to the river pups. They could be trusted and they wanted to play? The deal was done and signed. Her head canted at the newest boys approach. His carefree introduction had her tail fluttering lightly behind her. They weren't scary, they were kids just like her! Kova returned the invitation and Noble took a step forward eagerly as the game started. For a moment she watched, then turned hopefully to her new friend. "I'm really good at hide-and-seek!" She supplied eagerly. To be honest she kind of liked tussling equally, but the idea of another wolf laying teeth on her, even in play, was too unsettling. Her own play bow was much more reserved, just the slightest dipping of her front half to Karina. Lips pulled back in a goofy grin as she waited. Her gaze drifted past Karina and caught sight of Orren. Far's Noble was concerned the more the better. She let a low woof drift in his direction. Did he want to play too? RE: your friends of the north - Karina - Feb 21, 2015 [dohtml] Karina’s ears flattened in embarrassment at Orren’s retort—she hadn’t even really heard what he said, just that he accused her of having a boyfriend. How could that have happened without her realizing?! Could you have boys that were friends, or did they have to be boyfriends? Karina glanced sideways at Kova, to see if he was also confused. Her apparent boyfriend was completely unfazed, already initiating a game with Aleksei. Writing it off as another stupid Orren thing, Karina stuck her tongue out at her middle brother. Noble agreed to be friends, and Karina’s tail wagged happily. She bowed to play, though intuitive Karina noticed her reserved body language. Noble didn’t seem to be ready for rough and tumble, which was fine by Karina because that wasn’t her idea of fun anyway. Her new friend suggested hide-and-seek, and Karina barked her agreement. Hide and seek would be fun on a day like today! There was a steady breeze, and she would be able to make up for her lack in sight with her sense of smell. Even so, she still liked to be the hider more than the seeker. She started moving off to dart away when she noticed Noble invite Orren to play. ”Okay.. we’ll hide, Orren you find us!” she yipped, enjoying being the one who was in charge of the game. The tables were turned, now the girls got to make the decisions! Before Orren could agree or disagree, Karina ran for the cedars. ”Come on!” she encouraged Noble, ”I know all the best spots!” She barked a playful, taunting bark loud enough for Orren to hear. She had never known either of her brothers to refuse a challenge like that! RE: your friends of the north - Orren - Mar 08, 2015 Just throwing one in 'ere xD - I'm all for someone fading out c: [dohtml]
RE: your friends of the north - Noble - Mar 31, 2015 [dohtml] The game was started and Karina was beginning to move away. For a single horrifying moment Noble imagined them all racing away and being left to find a spot in a land she didn't know. Her ears began to curl for Kova, suddenly uncertain. They were always there for each other, and the girl couldn't imagine a time she wouldn't be able to turn to him. The other girl, Karina, was watching and she took a hopeful step in her direction. "Come on!" Was all the encouragement she needed. Noble was quick to bound after her friend. The pair tore along the paths, looming cedars so unlike home and the scent of resinous evergreen in her nostrils. There was a wild excitement and giddy urgency, but it was ok. Every so often the happy bark of Kova drifted in the breeze, as if in agreement. Noble would respond in kind to her brother; once giving herself away. But it was ok, this was only a game. When Orren found her, she only offered a playful growl that rang in perfect tune with her furiously wagging tail. This only meant the game would continue; with a giggle she started the count-down herself. The game had erased all her fears. And anyways, what harm could come in playing a game? Fade to Black
