RE: brokering deals - Aesire - Dec 07, 2014 [dohtml] Aesire had learned a long time ago that it was easy to take shyness for coldness and silence for indifference. Perhaps that was her issue here as she was starting to get the feeling that Seraphina did not take well to her. She sighed when the woman gave her one of the standard issue answers she should have expected. In truth, the answer had stung at her heart. Aesire didn't want to leave her home; she had loved her home. The fact is that her home didn't want her and it put a damper on her mind. "Not every wolf leaves home as a choice but every wandering has conflicts to bear with them." Those words did not have a regal tone to them and they even held a pang of sadness as Aesire turned away from the other lady with a rabbit in her mouth to take to the pups. No more words were needed because Aesire had realized her mistake. She had told Seraphina too much - she just hoped the woman wouldn't dare ask her about it. If the woman did, Aes would refuse to answer. Her eyes remained focused on the trail back to the den and away from the woman who she had just spoken too. She felt slightly irritated and annoyed, but she pushed those feelings aside. Aesire didn't like to judge people until she saw their fighting and hunting skills. She had only seen the weaker hunting skills of the lady whom she thought talked too much. She drew in a deep breathe and broke into a run so she could feed the pups and get back out there to do more work. -Exit- RE: brokering deals - Seraphina - Dec 08, 2014 [dohtml]
Speech . Seraphina's brown eyebrows pulled together in confusion and concern as Aesire response reached her ears. There was no regality in her tone now, only sadness. At first, Seraphina felt a pull on her heart because she hated to see other wolves sad. But emotionally talks were not her forte and often made her uncomfortable. If the Faye girl ever actually asked someone why they were sad it would mean a lot, it would mean she cared about them enough to overcome her own fears. And that was not the case with this stranger who had seemed defensive and easily irritated in Phina's mind.
Phina watched the large she-wolf trot away with a rabbit in her mouth and sighed. She had only wanted to make friends and had failed miserably at that. Deep down she knew that it was not completely Aesire's fault their meeting had been tense. She knew because she could still hear a childish voice in the back of her head: Even after it darted away, I would have been able to catch that rabbit. It was true, she knew that. Seraphina's form was much smaller and she was much more accustomed to this terrain. She could have caught the rabbit, but that was also not the point. She could catch a thousand rabbits, but if her pack mates still walked away from her as sad as Aesire had, then it meant nothing. A pack didn't just need to be well fed, though that surely was important. They needed to be harmonious and cooperative, a family. But it wasn't completely my fault either, Seraphina defended herself. Aesire had not made it easy.
Conflicted about this new encounter, Seraphina decided that it was best to find some kind of work to occupy her mind. Hunting had been nothing but bad luck today and something told the Faye that Aesire would be back out her to hunt again, so Seraphina settled on looking for herbs instead. With winter coming they would need herbs to treat sore throats and colds, and Phina intended to make sure they were well stocked. For now, she would remain neutral to Aesire until she could figure out how best to handle the situation. --exit-- [/dohtml] |
