RE: Anyone home? - Spieden - Jan 10, 2015 Feel free to get another post in, or just archive
[dohtml] Spieden bobbed her head, turning away from the creek and towards the center of the territory. Towards Phyrrus' question, she silently thought for a moment before answering. "No, not lately, at least. It's been very quiet this side of the mountains. There used to be another pack over here, but now it's just us. I'm... I'm not sure what happened to them." Spieden said, filling in a scant history of the area. She didn't realize how tense she had been this entire time until she suddenly felt like a weight had lifted off of her. Everything had gone well, and she would be bringing a new member back to the pack. She was still somewhat nervous that she had made the right decision, or done things properly. She tried to keep in mind what her mother would have done, but the memories were so long ago. Already on the move, Spieden noticed Phyrrus lingering behind. She glanced over her shoulder, finding the woman mussing about with a feather. She had noticed it earlier, but figured it had just been stuck in her fur on accident. She raised a curious brow now that she realized it was intentionally carried, but decided to say nothing on it and continued walking once Phyrrus had caught up. Leaving behind one creek, they neared another; the curving stream that leant the Bend its name. Spieden followed its path, only departing it once the tall branches of the old oak could be seen through the trees. Spieden lead the newest member past the oak, towards the red rocky slope where the den could be found. She pointed out the den with her snout, before slipping back off into the night for one last check of the borders. |
