RE: roots of a mountain - Skadi - Apr 03, 2015

It was sudden but certainly not unexpected. Skadi froze at the sudden movement; went slack as teeth wrapped around her neck. The attack came without warning or word and Skadi was left to ponder the error she must have made. He was family, the brother she had been born alongside and the father of her son. There was a good reason for this. She must have done something.

Willing her body to go still, she felt herself sink further into the snow. She offered no resistant and felt her tail tremble rapidly between her hind legs. The only other reaction was her confusion. Please, a whine pushed at the roof of her mouth, what did I do?

Garmr pulled back to look at her, and she looked at anything but him. He spoke in crisp tones and she blinked at the blunt dismissal. She was never sure where they stood with each other. He was her mastermind and she was forever chasing down the shiny pieces of his plan, wondering at his strategy and his appraisal of her. Flat yellow eyes searched after the vanishing shape of their son, desperate to not disappoint again. Her neck was still damp as she watched the two males leave, wanting to stay with Garmr despite the abuse.
