The man would take his role very seriously, especially when it came to the safety of his sister. He gave her a brisk nod, glancing briefly down at her heaving stomach. It might have been a rough night for them all if there were less members but Yuka felt confident that everything would be alright. His tail wagged neutrally behind him, amber teal-flecked eyes searched over the group gathered. He did not have to wait long before two walked toward him, one black, about the same build as himself and the other but a yearling. He nodded at the two men in greeting, watching as they exchanged friendly words themselves. The smaller of the two turned towards him. Yuka ears cupped forward to show that he was paying attention and nodded. His words were a business-like monotone when he spoke, "Yes, let's head out." With that he turned and made his way opposite of which he'd come, satisfied with the knowledge that, for now, at least that side of the border was secure. They would walk the perimeter and if they came into contact with any of their coyote friends they would take them down. No doubt the scent of blood due to his sister's birthing would only draw them near.
