The lady sniffed, and Lillia took it for the question it was. Or, at least one of the questions. Nadine's scent wouldn't be on her own at this point, after so much time apart. "I don't know where she is," she admitted, feeling a wash of shame over her. She should know where her sister was - and she would know, if she hadn't been such a coward. If she'd fought harder, hadn't run away, maybe she wouldn't have ended up here.
Not that here was bad, per se. She enjoyed being around the little lady and her shadow - perhaps a bit too much. But Nadine was a constant in the back of her mind. Perhaps she should be looking for her. Perhaps she wasn't even alive anymore. Perhaps she'd never left home.
She had no real hope of ever reuniting with her sister again. It would take a miracle. The only thing Lillia could think to do now was protect the ones she had found herself with this time.
"Sorry it's not really a happy fact about myself," she said then, offering the silent wolf a small smile. "But it's important."

[/dohtml]Sophrosnia could not help but blink at the girl, not understanding fully. It seemed as though they were close, so if she were close to her… why did she not know where she was? And why was she so intent at remaining at Sophrosnia’s side when she could be looking for her? It made her strange loyalty to impending mother seem all the more genuine and important… she had valued her over her sister, at least for the time being, and Sophrosnia did not want to take that for granted… she didn’t know what it was like to have siblings, but Nastia had told her that they were usually quite close.
And that was the only experience she had to go on.
A frowned formed on her features, a clear confusion in her eyes as she looked to the other girl, not fully understanding it all. It wasn’t happy, but it was important… but why was it not happy? Just because she did not know where she was, did not mean that she would not see her ever again…
And so she shifted, to move right next to Lillia, to motion with her head and begin walking. As if to say, ‘well then let’s go find her’.

In truth, Lillia wasn't really sure why she was sticking with the little lady and the unborn pups, but she had to believe it was because she wanted something to protect, and this was the best opportunity to do so. At least... that was how it was at first. Now, though, it was a bit more complicated.
The other girl made a gesture and started walking, and Lillia huffed a laugh to herself, helpless but to follow. "Once the kids are all born and a little bigger," she reasoned, newfound hope igniting in her chest, "maybe I'll look for her." It was something she'd have to do on her own, wasn't it? Who else would be interested in chasing ghosts?

[/dohtml]She watched as Lillia huffed and then laughed and frowned at first, not quite understanding… but her logic did make sense and so despite the slight huff she offered, she would nod and show fine she could do that. She supposed she wouldn’t be very mobile for awhile pretty soon… so she didn’t really have a choice.
Sophrosnia still gave her a gentle nudge against her friend’s shoulder and a smile before motioning once again with her nose outward, this time not referring to her sister, but to taking a walk. She was already up, and she figured it would be good for her to stretch her legs… she had felt so lazy lately with the later stages of pregnancy.

Lillia was nudged to walk, and so she did. There was very little she wouldn't do for her companion when requested, it seemed, though she normally would not be pleased with being guided around like this. There was a contentedness in her chest that was normally only borne from a good, cathartic conversation, but her friend hadn't said a word the entire time.
How odd. How wonderful.
She hadn't let herself think about Nadine for so long now that it was almost overwhelming to imagine somehow finding her one day. Eyeing her companion from the corner of her eye, Lillia smiled to herself. She nudged the other woman's cheek with her nose, eyes crinkled a bit.
"Thank you," she said simply, tail swishing.

Despite having dropped the topic for now, Sophrosnia was already plotting how to go about finding her sister. Perhaps they would get lucky... but would she even recognize her sister if it had been so long? She wasn't certain and it made her nervous.
She just wanted to help her friend. The woman had become so important to her over a short span of time and she wished to make her life easier, and happier. It was already hard enough without a pack from what she'd been told. She'd never known what it was to have a pack so in some ways she'd been left unphased but Lillia had spoken of a pack.
As they walked, and the girl thanked her, she simply nudged her shoulder with a bump, intent to continue walking in the comfortable silence until it was time for her to rest.
