RE: war rages within - Greer - Aug 21, 2015 quick exit post for greer :3 The meeting had quickly erupted into something else as his mother lashed out at his brother’s defiance; her words cutting through the air like hot wire. Greer remained quiet and observant, his silver eyes flittering back and forth between the two wolves. It was becoming evident to the solitary creature how entertaining wolf-watching was. Between bursts, his mercury gaze would seek out the faces on the crowd as he put each one into his memory bank. Some of their names escaped him, but as much as he would prefer to keep to himself, Greer knew that crossing paths with the other Ridge wolves was bound to happen. A frown wrinkled his maw as his attention returned to his kin; Elettra had dismissed her son and plunged into the purpose of the meeting. His ears perked at the mention of the queen of the Caverns – this was wonderful news! As long as his brother was still among their ranks, it meant that the long-legged shadow could visit as frequently as he pleased. The thought of seeking out his brother’s company startled him, but he cast it aside. As much as he preferred to be on his own, blood was blood; he would always prefer the company of his kin as opposed to the unwilling company of strangers. The announcement of the alliance also meant that it opened up more areas for the yearling to explore; an unexpected wave of excitement flooded through him, causing his head to spin with ideas. Perhaps he would take Narime up on the invitation for him to stay with her pack for a few days… Once the announcements were done, his father spoke briefly, his heavily accented voice filling the clearing. More pups? I swear Mother is building an army… he thought to himself in amusement … it would not surprise him if the Archer family took over Relic Lore. With that, the rest of the pack was dismissed. A sigh of relief escaped him as he unfolded his long legs, his silver gaze lingering on his mother before he slithered out of the clearing. It did not take him long to put distance between himself and the other Ridge wolves – after being surrounded by so many bodies Greer was desperate to seek out solitude… he did not do so well in crowds. exit. |
