RE: on my own - Hypatia - Nov 17, 2015

The glee of the child was catching, without herself knowing a grin had spread upon her cream muzzle and her light brown tail seemed lighter, if it wanted to move. This did make things a bit easy with a willing guide by her side. What better way to be certain the cub made it back safely? She knew better than to do the whole "you better get home,it's not safe for children to wander" as most adults did. No, she had her ways, remembering well what it was like to feel small and useless. Now if she really could stay, and get to know her youngest sister.

"Kyna, it is nice to meet you. But don't fret, in this world you don't always need be polite to strangers. Sometimes it's best to find their intentions before sharing such things." The lady's voice was steady and carried a note of seriousness, but she kept a pleasant smile in hopes to ease the girl's heart. She seemed so panglossian she hated to break that, and she hoped in the future she may be a bit more cautious. Even though the time she spent with her was little, she would hate for anything to befall upon the little lass.

There it was again, that hope. Never lose that, she thought.  "Hmm, we shall see," was all she quietly replied not daring to say more. For she didn't feel it was quite the time to tell her there was more. Maybe, it would be someone else who shined light on that issue. Until then, she followed behind Kyna, trying to steady her own contrasting emotions.
