little do you know - Athena - Oct 07, 2015 Welcome to any FTC pack members Random Event: There is a full moon. [dohtml] Life at her lake was one she surely missed. Feeling the small pebbles beneath her paws as she walked through the shallows while she patrolled the borders was bliss. Traveling the mountains once again and feeling the rocky terrain that she loved beneath her legs. However, it wasn’t the same. Though the lake and mountain welcomed her, the pack that she had created was filled with strangers and she was the outcast. This place had always been home for years, but the love she had for this place wasn’t the same as it had been before when it was filled with strangers. Perhaps when she made amends with Vespertio, she should search for a new place to call home where there were no souls that she had harmed. But where in all the Lore could a place like that be? There had been so many that she had harmed that it almost seemed like an impossible task. For now though, she must stay here to earn the forgiveness of her love. For as long as that may take. This evening, Athena didn’t travel up the mountainside to watch the sunset in her outcrop. Tonight, she rested on the large boulder along the lakeshore where she had once had a heart to heart conversation with Rhysis many years ago. That year she had been his faithful servant, now he was the one man who she would have the hardest times forgiving if she ever saw him again. That man was a monster that she had almost turned into. His thirst for power and dominance was just like the hunger that had created this pack. However, her need for power was diminished. Athena no longer had the thirst for being above all others and governing them. There was never happiness in that life for her. She had learned that the hard way many times over. Her father had been right. After all these years that she thought he had been wrong when he swore she would never find happiness and will always be a failure. Here she was with her happiness that was no longer hers, but another woman’s and three children’s father. She guessed Vesper was probably sound asleep with his family in the den that she didn’t have the heart to go near. She was trying to pick up herself up piece by piece before he changed his mind and sent her away. Little did he know she was being held captive by the mistakes that were drowning her inside. The memories and thoughts of what could have been haunted her and sleep slipped away from her every night. The moon was full tonight as it rose above the mountain and reflected off the glistening lake. She was trying to make it better piece by piece, but she was afraid there was too much hurt and there was no healing what she has done. She needed to let him go and let him live his new life with his new wife and children. Little did he know, she loved him till the sun died. "Speech." RE: little do you know - Pharika - Oct 09, 2015 [dohtml] The dark pelted woman lay nestled in a mat of pine needles outside of the den. The aroma of the pines and firs were rather calming to her, lulling her into a deep sleep hours ago. Pharika rarely ever remembered her dreams. When she did, though, they were nightmares, or some bizarre occurrence that would stick in her mind awhile after awakening. Having her fill on rest, her lids flutter before she slowly raises her head upward. She blinks, grogginess making her head feel stuffy. After releasing a loud sigh, Rika stands up. She steps forth with her front paws before stretching and yawning. Her hackles rise briefly at the pleasurable stretch that convinces her to get moving. As she slips out from her nest of needles, her gaze flows upward toward the sky. The moon resembled a large plate made of fine china- its pale glow eerie yet captivating. Pausing, Rika stares to admire the ashen disc in the sky. Her large paws carry her toward the lake for a drink. The cold stone beneath her paws wakes her up even more so. Slowing her pace, she nears the edge of the lake. Pharika peers over the edge and stares at her reflection, or lack thereof. It was her silhouette; the moon claimed attention tonight. Rika feels as if she isn't alone. She cranes her head to the right, confirming her suspicion. There a snowy hued wolf resided on a rock. A pack mate. Rika turns her body, slowly approaching the woman. Her tail sways before she stops several yards away. " 'Lo" she says in simple greeting. I'm still haunted by the memories Deep in thought, her mind wandered skipping though memories of the past and Shaking herself awake, her fiery eye turned to see who had approached her. The RE: little do you know - Pharika - Oct 20, 2015 [dohtml] Pharika watches as the woman looks toward her. Immediately the dark woman notices the opaqueness of one of her eyes. The moon's glow cast itself upon it, making it one of the features noticeable on her cloudy white face. Pharika nods to the wolf's words. "Of course. Might as well before the weather turns to shit." She smirks lightly, teeth flashing briefly. Turning her body, Rika stands as Athena elegantly whirls off the boulder and touching back down to ground. "Pharika Idasis" Rika says, wanting to introduce herself right away to another family member. Her tail sways as she looks to the moon. Shuffling her large paws along, she cranes her neck outward occasionally on their patrol. Her ebon nostrils widen to test the air, satisfied yet slightly disappointed there was nothing exciting. Since the culling of the lynx, there hadn't been any threats along the borders. The woman's tail remains low and swinging, a casual demeanor obvious. She may have been higher in rank than the white woman, but she didn't care all too much to show it. She only would do so if said wolf was getting on her nerves. "I come from the far North. I'm used to cold all year round." She states, her gaze looking forward as they walk along steadily. "Have you been here for a bit? I'm curious as to how the winters are." She honestly couldn't think of much to say, but she believed conversation would begin making itself once they pushed through small talk. RE: little do you know - Athena - Nov 15, 2015 Sorry for the wait [dohtml] Athena Moon Better watch out princess, that crown is mine. The Queen is back
"Athena Moon," she introduced herself quickly to the fellow pack member, a polite nod in Pharika's direction. The black and white woman took her offer and joined beside her as they continued on to patrol the borders of Fallen Tree Cove. There was silence between them, but it wasn't much to complain about. Athena could deal with silence, actually preferred it most times, however, she should get to know the woman next to her at least a little bit. Though, it was the other that initiated the small talk. Pharika informed her where she had come from, her dark brown gaze sticking to the trail ahead of them. While her fiery gaze flickered to her face for a moment as she asked if she had been here long. "I'm originally from the western coast, but I came here to Relic Lore about four years ago. I've called this place home plenty of times." She answered, leaving out some information about how she had been the one to create the very pack they lived within. Perhaps, it wasn't quite time yet to say it. Though it was the truth, she wasn't sure how Vespertio would feel about it. "The winters here are quite harsh. It's best to prepare very early and traveling though the mountain is never more dangerous." She continued, her mixmatched gaze looking over to hers for a moment before she looked back to the trail ahead of them. "But, the mountain and this lake have always been home to me." that crown has always been mine.
RE: little do you know - Pharika - Nov 17, 2015 [dohtml] Pharika stores the name in the filing cabinet that was her mind. Athena Moon. Not too difficult to remember. They continue their moonlit stroll; silence gripping them briefly here and there. No silence was uncomfortable, at least to Pharika they weren't. She turns her head toward Athena as the white coated woman speaks. Curiosity pricks at her as she speaks of having called these lands home plenty of times. Rika bites her tongue, wanting to interrupt to ask more, but instead she remains silent and listens. She finds herself nodding slowly to her words of a harsh winter. Just as she'd expect. The mountain was likely to be ruthless; it may be a grand view from atop of it, but there were certainly negatives to living upon this huge chunk of rock. "Ah, the Western coast. It seems we are opposite in origin." She smiles lightly, but it is soon wiped from her face. Rika couldn't be too polite. It wasn't in her blood. If she tried to pull a fake toothy grin, she'd become disgusted with herself. "I am assuming a lot has happened within your past" the woman hums, the curiosity still lingering within her. Why had Athena been here so many times? Why was her presence not consistent, it seemed? Pharika almost grunts out of frustration, but she retains a stoic look as her brass gaze falls to the woman beside her. |
