@Erebos ! Sorry that it took so long for me to get this up, but finally, here it is!!!

It seemed like yesterday when the promise to return to Broken Timber Pines in one piece had spilled from his black lined jaws and yet his paws broke through snow that had staked a claim on these lands nearly four days prior. The walk up the mountain peak was quite the experience and the bitter cold that greeted him once he reached the highest peak of the mountain made him eat the words he had promised her--no amount waiting could have prepared him for this walk toward Silent Moon Plateau. Oblivious to where he was going but determined that something was just beyond the ridge kept him going, and within another days time he had made it to what smelled like the familiar scent of a pack. With thick snow covering his pelt, clinging to the underside of his belly and chin, he forced his frozen paws to move a few miles more until he was certain that he had indeed come across an inhabited home, and upon first glance he wondered if they were still here.

He didn't call out immediately, instead he shook his pelt free of any loose snow, hoping to look at least half presentable to the wolves he hoped to meet today before finally, after a deep inhale, he called free and loud into the heavens. It was strange visiting the neighboring land without another from the Pines at his side but he knew that sending more then one wolf was senseless, considering the great storms that could come, it would be less damaging to the pack to lose one wolf compared to two. He only hoped that the wolves here were kind enough to welcome him into their border temporarily to warm up before he would be off once more in search of another pack to discuss an alliance with.
