A New Reign - Nina - Feb 20, 2016 Hello, everyone! This is a mandatory pack meeting that I would like to get done as soon as possible. For everyone's timelines sake, due to how long this thread could take place, take note that from this date forward Aideen will be the new lead alpha female of Secret Woodlands.
@Miccah @Bane @Aideen @Ash @Korrin @Rose @Inali @Belladonna @Duckweed There is NO POSTING ORDER for this thread everyone. [dohtml] She had built a new home from barely nothing. Had defended it and maintained it with every spirit that flowed through her veins. She had known for quite some time that she needed someone to take over. Her reign had extended for longer than she would have liked. Now though, she could retire knowing that the empire that she had built those many years ago would continue growing and would prosper on. Nina had decided that she would remain in Secret Woodlands. After all, it was her home and she knew that there was rare chance of her finding happiness anywhere else. The reminder was bitter but when she remembered what she had within the Woodlands, her bitter thoughts lightened. She had spoken with Aideen a few days prior, informing her of what was to take place. After all, the very buzz of spring was practically reminding Nina of what was to come. With Miccah in power, Nina had no doubts that most of her laws would remain in place and she rested easy feeling that her home wouldn’t change too much with the shift in power. As she made her way towards the meeting place, she reflected back on her life and all the many changes that had taken place. While there had been many dark times in her life, there had always been something to bring her back from that darkness and Nina found that she could only be grateful for the life she had lived. With this in mind, and with a heart filled with love, she tilted her head and called for her pack. RE: A New Reign - Miccah - Feb 20, 2016 [dohtml]

Though Bane had not been fully told of the change in leadership come spring, the man had watched, had listened and in his silence he had pondered what was to come. With Miccah in leadership, mate to Aideen and Nina growing older, there would be no shock if this meeting meant a change now that breeding season was knocking on their doorstep. Bane had not a fear of it. Though he did not talk to Aideen much (like he did not talk much at all) she had been in the pack since he was a child and had been ever loyal to it, to Nina. He smiles ever delicately in her direction now as he made his way, finding a settlement somewhere out to the side, and back, of Nina. It is here his eyes remained, listening and watching out for her once the meeting began. There was without a doubt that he would back up and follow any decision she had to make for herself and for this pack. "" SECRET Woodlands [/dohtml] RE: A New Reign - Rose - Feb 29, 2016 [dohtml] Pack meetings had never been the small fae's forte, regardless she understood their importance and even the consequences that took place if a pup decided to simply disregard them. Therefor, when a familiar melodic howl filled the surrounding air, Rose knew it'd be best to make haste. 'It's never about anything I understand.. Or anything that directly effects me. Why do the kids even have to show up to these things?' Almost regretfully, she trotted toward the sound, young mind filled with wonder of what information the ritual would provide this time. 'At the very least, I can't say they happen all too often. I really shouldn't complain.' It was easy to tell upon arrival that not everyone had made it thus far. In fact, the only real recognizable face had belonged to her father. Greeting the man with a warm nuzzle, she made herself comfortable by his side. "What's this gonna be about, dad?" She questioned, though was pretty sure he was just as clueless as she had been. "And where's Korrin? He normally beats me to this sort of thing..." rolling her eyes, Rose wondered if her brother was finally beginning to slack off. 'Well, it's great Nina doesn't look worried.. Perhaps this meeting won't be about anything negative...' RE: A New Reign - Belladonna - Feb 29, 2016 The unmistakable sound of a pack summons cut through her laughter, which faded as her ears perked up to register the command. Tongue still rolling free as she panted, Bella's smile did not fade even as their game was brought to a swift end, automatically turning about with a jerk of the head to indicate that he should follow. Warmed up from exertion, together they trotted to the meeting place. Seeing everybody else already gathered, Bella bowed her head in respect and apology, looking first to Nina and then to Miccah. She did not approach them, instead taking a seat quietly close to Ash after pressing her nose into his cheek, offering a small smile to Rose as she took her place. Everything seemed peaceful in the woodlands, and letting her gaze fall upon Nina, she judged that the news to be shared this day was not negative; there was only contentment and affection on the matriarch's face. Bella had long let go of Mirren's disappearance, for while her fleeting affection towards him had convinced her to join, it was Ash and the companionship of the others who convinced her to stay. Life was simple and easy here, though her greatest joy was the pack's affect on Duck. She would remain here as long as it gave him peace. RE: A New Reign - Duckweed - Feb 29, 2016 He had been just about to win, too! And not one of the usual victories which were hollow because she gave in, but he had really, honestly truly been quicker that time, and in her surprise she had made a mistake. One real win in an ocean of plastic trophies, but then Nina had howled and just like that the game was over. It was training, of a sense, and more often than not he liked to think of it that way; although he was still smaller and thinner than most any of his age-mates, technically this season meant that he was fully grown. Fully grown! He'd secretly hoped that would mean he'd enjoy a final, last-moment growth spurt, but alas. This was the body he'd been given, so it was the body he'd learn to use. It could already fish to a decent degree, but sparring was a whole other set of skills - though it was not his physical handicaps which held him back the most. Sides heaving, his skin still flush from the effort, he trotted alongside his mother as they answered the call. A hint of anxiety poked at his belly as he thought of being around so many at once, but he was variably familiar with them all and trusted each more than he trusted most of his own blood. Still, he lingered just a little behind his mother when they arrived, lowering himself as he crept about the gathering to sit close by his mother and Ash. His 'grandfather' had managed to occupy this curious role of both somebody safe and comforting and yet utterly terrifying at the same time, but it was a good kind of terrifying, like the kind that Duck knew he'd hide behind the huge man in a heartbeat and feel confident that his adversary would be too afraid to come near. RE: A New Reign - Korrin - Feb 29, 2016 [dohtml] He hated being late. Truthfully, he abhorred it. If there was something going on in the pack, Korrin enjoyed being there from the first moment. It was more he could soak in and learn about concerning pack things. Unlike his sister Rose, he actually enjoyed coming to the meetings. It was one of the rare times the boy socialized with the members of the pack. He was quiet by nature, loving solitude more than being surrounded by his fellow wolves. Rose was the complete opposite, he mused. His younger sister thrived on any and all attention. As he awkwardly manuevered through the thickets, for he had not yet gained the innate skill that all the other members seemed to have, he was met with another member of the pack. Her name was Inali, and she was small. Over time, he realized that she also enjoyed the art of speaking. Though, he couldn't help the light tug of his muzzle as she huffed, vocally expressing her frustration at being late while they hurried to get to the meeting. Drawing nearer to the gathering, her gentle voice quieted and the two separated as they finally entered the clearing. He to his father and sister's side, and she to a dark stranger she obviously knew well. Apologizing to his aunt and the man who was king with a duck of his head, Korrin sat beside his sister and waited for the meeting to commence. "speech" |
