RE: Taste the moonlight - Wraith - Mar 05, 2016

A growl of his own rumbled through Wraith's system. Reason was a small voice in the back of his mind calling for him to wait, to think of any repercussions of his actions. But instinct and desire negated any pleas reason may offer. As Morganna bowed down in play, her words a daring challenge, Wraith's amber eyes met hers with all the seriousness that his heart possessed. They were playing at a game now, but he felt more feral than ever.

His birth pack had not allowed Wraith the opportunity to ever participate in breeding. His parents had remained the sole producers for future packmates and, as the majority of the pack consisted of family, Wraith hadn't had interest anyway. Though Morganna's pelt may have matched many of his own family, her scent shouted of all that was fresh and vibrant and new.

Perhaps if the pair had discussed it any, the black wolf would have balked at the idea. Not because Morganna was not what he looked for as a partner, but rather for his own failings. Were he to father her pups, would he have to take his position in the pack more seriously? Would he need to step up and take responsibility for the lives of others once again? Was he even trustworthy enough for such a task?

But those questions never came. The chance for them had long since passed by the time the she-wolf blew passed him, her muzzle jabbing into his ribs. Wraith spun, snapping flirtatiously at her flank as she ran by. Despite his massive size, he found great enough motivation to race after her for all he was worth. She had him by a longshot, but the brute was far from deterred and kept on with his pursuit. Even if it took him all night, he'd catch her. And if she didn't change her mind in the meantime, Wraith had every intention of helping to quell her fire as well as his own.
