Mirror Mirror - Shatter - Jul 26, 2011 He knew that these waters were lovely during the day. A crystaline pool of liquid, a perfect mirror to the world above it. At night? They were just as gorgeous, reflecting the moon and the black sky. It seemed that no matter where you stood that the depth was endless, once you stepped foot you would fall and keep falling. Perhaps that was why the pale colored male had stepped into the lagoon at all. And just like that, the perfect picture fell apart; the ripples tore at the reflection, distorted and cracked the mirror. Shatter yawned, leaning his head down and taking a drink, enjoying the cool water that lapped at his legs. The sounds of the night were pleasant, and it was times like these that the aging loner took a moment to think. The peace was calming, but where it would cause a lulling effect on some, it did just the opposite to this lupine. His ears would twitch at every nearby sound, eyes would flicker toward the lightning bug or the fish splashing somewhere in the distance. These were the moments when he would wonder whether he should go back to his birth name. Shatter, wasn't a becoming name for any child; but it was what he had given himself to separate from his old life. As a yearling it was a good idea, and the thought had been clever. Now, it seemed juvenile, but it stuck. Nequam, no longer suited him the way that he wished it to. It was the name that his sister would call him if she was here... but she had long since forgotten him. The woman had a pack and a family, there was no need to disturb her. So here he was, having come god knows how far, detached and aching for a replacement for his old home and all that went with it. The man had come a long way, what he needed to decide now, was whether he wanted to stir up his life and add a few ripples to the blank canvas; or settle down. Mirror Mirror - Elettra - Aug 08, 2011 [ still around looking for a reply to this? ] Mirror Mirror - Shatter - Aug 14, 2011 ( that would be nice! :3 ) Mirror Mirror - Elettra - Aug 23, 2011 [dohtml] [/dohtml]Once more would she be pulled from the confines of her home, safety within the hollow of the grizzly cavern, deep in the forest of cedar which consumed her scenting now, mixed with the herbs in which she worked with. As second and as a true 'gift' to the pack as formerly said, she was comfortable and happy within her home. However still did she find herself slipping from the den, if not her healing quarters. After all, the woman was still an explorer at heart, natural for a creature in the art of healing which had to travel far lengths for certain herbal treatments. Tonight she was not on such a journey for it is hunger which plagues her and brings her here, knowing this to be the largest source of water and thus, more likely for prey to stir. But it is now prey which she finds, but a wolf. He is a well sized man but not anywhere near the largest she has come across. White. Another white wolf. Normally one might be intrigued by an arctic wolf in such a land however, most of the women in her pack (all savor herself) including the two female pups were painted in such a light color. Quite frankly, where white wolves had once been a rarity, it was her darker coloration which was most unique here. She would also take notice to his wild, tangled hairs, much different then her own which were much more well kept from grooming and smelling fresh. Her royal blood had forced her to keep up with such traditions as a proper, elegant creature of the world. Although her pale gaze would watch him, she would not say a thing as she came to the water's edge not far, taking her own sip to drink. |
