The Journey Back - Inna - Apr 20, 2016

[dohtml]

Before she’d left Hearthwood River her mother had asked about what she wanted to do when she was older. ‘Be a scout’ was what she’d answered. However, after some time had passed Inna thought she needed to see some of the world beyond the borders of Hearthwood River. She thought then she would know better about life in general and perhaps if being a scout really was the right thing for her.

After having been on her own for some time she wasn’t exactly sure she knew what she wanted. What she did know was she hadn’t been completely prepared . Now as she looked back on the first few weeks she was on her own Inna didn’t think it was such a bad thing. She’d been forced to figure things out on her own and improve upon the skills she already had. Even though it might not have been the wisest decision to leave before winter had been over she felt she was stronger for it.

With spring having arrived she felt it was time she returned home. Most of all Inna missed her family and she wanted to see them. Inna also thought that she would take her mother’s advice and speak with Naia about becoming a scout. With those thoughts in her mind she arrived at Turtleback Lake where she decided to stop for a drink and a meal before continuing with her journey.

The water was clear as she approached the shoreline. So clear in fact that she was able to see a number of fish darting here and there as she lowered her head to lap at the water. Her gaze followed them intently as she had her fill. When she had finally finished she started to prepare to catch one for herlunch.

RE: The Journey Back - Zahira - Apr 25, 2016

the russet female had been wandering the land for quite some time. Keeping to herself she had lost all hope that her brother had found a place to claim and spread their ways. It had never accrued her that someone, especially a mutt, could have killed him. Never had it accrued to her that she might stand along when her brothers scent trail ran stale and her last lead to fining him had turned to a dead end. So the last question now where, what should she do? She had come all this way to help found a strong pack, but without her brother she had no reason to do so. It was not that she did not want to create a pack that could honor her bloodline, she just did not care to limit herself to the role as leader. Why would she? The russet wolf had no need to lead a pack, had no urge to claim a throne. She where barely asking for anything, and yet she asked for everything. She had formed plan in her head, help her brother and whatever bitch he chose to reproduce and clam the role as second. She need nothing more, had wished for nothing more. And now that dammed wolf had disappeared and most likely gotten himself killed. What were she to do now? She could not return home with such bad news, or she could but at what price?

Zahira sighed as she looked up in to the sky, her Reddish eyes seemed lost for a moment before regaining their hardness. The song of water had her ears turn as she sighed a slight hunger clawing at her belly as she left the shady cover of the tress walking closer to the shoreline. The clear water felt nice as it passed down her throat.

as the wind puled by her she caught the scent of another wolf, had she walk in to clamed lands? If so the border had been weaker then and old duck too weak to fly. She lifted her head looking around to see the stranger and the sight of the young girl had her surprised.

letting out a bark she walked closer wondering what pack laid claim to the lack and why the borders were so weak. And yet something ells were bothering her, the young wolfs scent was off to her.  ”aren’t you a little fare from home, or is the lack claimed by a pack foolish enough to let their borders fade to nothing?

RE: The Journey Back - Inna - Apr 26, 2016

Inna watched as the fish darted back and forth in front of her. She still had some doubts when it came to her fishing abilities. During her time away she hadn't had too many chances to practice. Which made her attempts somewhat clumsy at best she still managed to catch the fish, or at least a fish. Inna attributed that to the fact she wasn't one to give up even if she was discouraged with the situation.

Something she had learned was giving up wasn't an option especially when the stakes were high. It was something she could take back to her pack and help them. Inna felt that going home now she would be a more productive member of the pack. She felt like she was stronger and more confident which was why she was sure she would be able to catch one of the fish in front of her. Even if it wasn't the most graceful attempt she would still succeed and maybe even learn something that would help her to be better.

However before Inna actually had the chance to try fishing a voice startled her causing her to jump slightly. Glancing in the direction the voice had come from she saw another wolf, a red female. "Not too far from home,” stated Inna, "And as far as I know there isn't a pack that has laid claim to these lands." At least Inna hoped that hadn't changed in the time that she'd been gone for if it had she'd missed any sign that a pack did call this home. "Unless you know something I don't?" Inna questioned curiously.
