and they never tell you what to do when all you have are lies

what's the sense in anything, it's just one more goodbye

The sun had faded but its colors still remained, bleeding through the darkening sky stubbornly. It painted the canopy above, creating a soft contrast to the shadows on each and every leaf. Ahead, the water shone with fragments of it, and the bubbling sound of the falls dominated the air and dictated the atmosphere. A beautiful time of day, but it made Erebos feel more awkward than anything as he walked through it all side by side with Delia.

There had been a time where they could have enjoyed this together, without worry or difficulty. He had thought that time to be long dead and far behind them; still did, if he was being honest. @Zeta had made her expectations obvious, however, and the man was forced to wonder if perhaps this family could be salvaged. Was trying worth it? They'd made it this far together. Maybe...

It was the minute possibility that had urged him to ask her to join him, without the children to tend to or responsibilities to distract them. A chance for an honest, heart felt talk. He really hated the idea, and his nerves were already peaking, but what truly was there to lose?
