Won't you remember me? - Amaryllis - Jun 28, 2016 @Camio [dohtml]
It had taken some time to travel here and Amaryllis felt bad in expanding her knowledge of the surrounding areas within a two day travel of Grizzly Hollow's borders. Even if she had asked her leaders for the short trip and been given permission, she still felt terrible. what if something happened to Yvly or Pip while she was gone? Or Veho, Oula and the pups? Veho especially since he was their only actual trained medic of the pack. But she had to squash those thoughts. She'd be gone for five days at most and there was a promise if she wasn't back by the sixth dawn that something had happened to her and to look for her.
At least, she hoped that someone from her pack would come looking for her. The would be healer had made friends within the pack and had friendly relations with everyone else she had met so it was hopeful to think someone would miss her. But it did't matter, she shook the thoughts from her head. It was known she had and would be travelling outside of pack borders for several days and that she would be coming back. instead, she focused on her surroundings.
The black berry bushes around her were filled with pinkish white flowers or early, unripe berries were hanging from the prickly branches, making her wonder what they might taste like ripe. Black Berry bushes hadn't grown in or around her old pack lands so she had no idea. Were they sweet or tart? Were they firm or soft when ripe? Licking her lips, she was tempted to try them unripe but it wouldn't do to make her sick and delay her by a day.
A flash of yellow caught her attention and a smile crossed her lips. Arnica was a useful herb, particularly with pups around who were prone to tripping and accidentally hurting themselves. There was bunches of the flowers around so she got to gathering them some up, happy to place the small bunch nearby as she found other herbs that were gathered close by as well. [/dohtml] |
