I'll be right by your side Till 3005 - Vespertio - Dec 13, 2016 For the dear @Namid and a long overdue Vamid thread. <3 RE: The nearby plants sparkle with autumn frost.
[dohtml] Soft snow crunched quietly under the weight of Vesper's paws as he traversed the outskirts of his kingdom, tips of his charcoal dusted fur shining under the warming rays of sunlight that shone down through the patchy cloud cover above. Luckily these types of clouds held no promise of more snow, just alternating intervals of light and dark that the man was silently glad for granted the current task he had in mind. Bombarding snow and constant darkness would make searching for something worthy of presenting to Namid in hopes of brightening her day just a little bit that much more difficult and the Vuesain would be damned if he let the weather stop him from making his mate happy again. Golden irises kept their gaze focused on the snow blanketed ground ahead, a small grouping of close-knit pines catching the man's eye enough to investigate further. Once enough distance was covered he noticed a cluster of scattered pine cones all around their trunks, the man's head tilting curiously as an idea struck. Winter had come and made quick work of killing off the flowers that grew around these parts most of the year, but perhaps he could use these pine cones to make a different type of bouquet for his darling wife. In their own way the snow frosted pine cones held their own wintry beauty in comparison to the blooming flowers of Spring and Summer as the patriarch watched them glisten in the soft sunlight, deeming them in that moment a hopefully fitting gift to lift the spirits of his downtrodden queen. Lowering his head, Vespertio parted his jaws to gather a few of the said items into his mouth, a small grimace crossing over his handsome facial features in response to the off taste that his taste buds were greeted with. This is for her. This is for her. He chanted silently in his mind like a mantra to keep his stomach from expelling his breakfast prematurely while making haste to cross the distance between where he was and wherever his love had gotten to since the first light of dawn should she have decided to venture past the threshold of the communal den today. Something he always advised the silvery woman to do, encouraging her to get a breath of fresh air. shine so bright we all go blind [/dohtml] RE: I'll be right by your side Till 3005 - Namid - Dec 18, 2016 [dohtml] Each day she was growing stronger, she could feel it and it was like a wave of comfort was washing over her every time she was able to pull herself from her dark depths. Mornings and late at night were often the hardest. She found it hard to sleep, even tucked into the warmth that was her husband, and when she did manage to finally drift off she was often plagued by nightmares. But, she had noticed she wasn’t the only one. Moonshadow was looking perhaps a big more haggard and sometimes the woman’s yelps could be heard by her from the den she had dug herself. Guilt was the largest emotion that she felt for putting the large lady through what she was going through and while at first she had thought that maybe putting her in an uncomfortable position would make her grow into herself she was now thinking that she might have been way off base. Moonshadow was a doing a fine job, but was it worth it if her health was at risk? No, certainly not which only made the pale woman more motivated to try and kick this thing that had had her in its grips for the past three months. In her conviction, this day she had decided to go out and try to catch something for the caches. Frequently she had too little energy to try such a feat, but today she decided that she was going to try and push past the fatigue and do something productive. Luckily, she was able to catch the scent of a hare who had escaped from its hiding place. Slowly, she rounded a tree, head low and ears pricked forward as the white mammal game into her view. Oh how fortunate she was that it’s back was facing her. Slowly advancing, her paw landed on a patch of snow that had iced over and it released a loud crack. The rabbit looked behind with wide eyes and even though the pale woman’s winter coat was damn near white, it saw her without problem. In a second it was flashing forward and she cursed, bolting after it with gritted teeth. Her mismatched gaze locked on it, refusing to let it out of her sight. Her breathing became labored and her muscles ached much quicker than they used to, but her resolve had been set. She pressed forward with a growl, pushing herself before she was finally able to swoop over the mammal and grab it by the back of its scruff. It let out a disgruntled squeak before going silent as she snapped its neck, going limp in her jaws. She felt a surge of pride and her tail gave a sweep behind her frame. Turning she began to head toward where she knew the nearest cache was, breathing heavily through her nose but she didn’t care much. She had finally managed to hunt for herself for the first time in a while and that was progress made. Auds swiveled to the side at the sound of paws crunching and she halted, seeing the form of her husband meaning toward the trees and she moved forward to intercept him. Dropping the hare she ran her muzzle along his cheek with a hum and a lick to the ear. ”Hello love,” she greeted. A scent permeated the air and she sniffed, mismatched gaze lowering to see the pine cones he was carrying in his jaws. She looked back up at him with raised brows and a cocked head, ”And what do we have here?” she inquired curiously. It wasn’t typical of her husband to just pick up the over sized seeds without reason. [/dohtml] RE: I'll be right by your side Till 3005 - Vespertio - Jan 08, 2017 [dohtml] Whatever plans Vesper had in surprising his wife with a wintry bouquet of snow dusted pine cones; now just regular pine cones since the heat of his breath melted the light layer of snow in no time, to raise her spirits were lost the moment the familiar silhouette of his mate came into view long before his nose could pick up on her perfume due to the aromatic properties of the large seeds leaving his nose blind to all other scents. Immediately the man's tail rose to sway above the curve of his rump as he relished the touch of @Namids snout along his cheek before a small lick was applied to his ear. A pleasant rumble sounded deep within his chest in response before the lakeside patriarch lowered his head to place the gathered items gingerly beside the rabbit carcass the silvered woman had managed to catch for herself after she gave them a curious inspection. "Hello, gorgeous." He greeted warmly, angling his head to run the length of his snout along her scruff before offering the tip of her nearest ear a gentle nip, the beat of his tail increasing in strength while a sheepish grin tugged back the corner of his dark painted lips. "I wanted to surprise you with something to make you smile so I went out and tried to get you a bouquet of flowers. Apparently my mind forgot that flowers don't grow in the snow so I had to settle with pine cones." He admitted, a light laugh following his words before another affection run of his muzzle traced the side of her cheek. "I hope it worked." He continued, letting the molten gold hue of his eyes lock onto the mismatched gaze of his wife. All the man wanted to do was make his wife happy again and if that meant gathering pine cones like some overgrown squirrel then so be it. shine so bright we all go blind [/dohtml] RE: I'll be right by your side Till 3005 - Namid - Jan 11, 2017 “Hello Gorgeous,” he said and she hummed as he ran his muzzle along her scruff, a small chuckle escaping her lips at the playful nip. Her mismatched gaze looked upon him warmly, though there was still a tiredness in the corner of her eyes. It was getting better though, slowly, and it was a good sign that a familiar heat was creeping into her cheeks that she normally felt with her love. She listened as he explained his reasoning, a loveable earnestness in his expression and her heart gave a little stutter. If there was anyone who could lift her from her darkness however briefly it was certainly the tawny Vuesain. “Indeed it has, thank you heart,” she said, allowing a smile to venture onto the curve of her lips. She'd always admired her parents relationship, the unbreakable bond and love that they'd held for each other. It was the kind of love that every woman wished for, and she'd realized a long time ago that she'd been blessed with the same luck as well. He was and always would be the only one to make her heart thunder like it did. A little mischievous glint came her to gaze and she leaned to pick up the pine cones as best she could, her maw smaller than his so she couldn't hold quite as many. She quickly placed them in the hollow of a tree and buried the hare before turning back to Vespertio. She moved forward, brushing her side against his, circling, then moving into a playful bow with her rump in the air. A bark erupted from her maw, inciting a little bit of needed childish playtime between the pair. RE: I'll be right by your side Till 3005 - Vespertio - Jan 17, 2017 [dohtml] A mental note was taken of the tiredness that still lurked within the corners of his lover's gaze, but for the most part her gaze was filled with the fiery light he remembered so well and that alone was enough to widen the smile that tugged at his inky lips. Relief soon washing over the tawny man when her words that his goal had been a success today filled his ears and soothed his worry. "I'm glad to hear that, my love." He cooed, nuzzling the point of his coal black nose against her cheek once more before catching the subtle shift in her demeanor. Molten gold irises watched closely as she moved his gift and the hare she had caught earlier toward the base of a near by tree, tucking them safely into the hollow of the tree before making her way back toward him to run the length of her side against his own. Immediately a low growl sounded within the depth of his chest and an electric spark hummed throughout his body at the close proximity only she could evoke within him. Adjusting his head to follow her movements not once did he let her slip from his line of sight, an ear pivoting toward her direction once she came full circle and lowered her frame into a play bow. The bark that followed suit inviting the man to join her for some much needed play time happily accepted as his own body lowered to mirror her own, a couple barks of his own escaping his lips while the charcoal dusted banner at his raised rump was sent into a whirlwind of high speed wags. Shortly after he lunged forward to try and catch Namid off guard by his sudden movement, attempting to clamp his jaws playfully around one of her upright ears to give it a good tug. shine so bright we all go blind [/dohtml] Re: - Spirit of Wildwood - Jan 17, 2017 A young deer has been separated from the rest of its herd.
