Fire & Ash - Elettra - Dec 27, 2016

I figured I would just go ahead and start this up. A continuance from the thread "Interloper", heavily backdated. @Morganna & @Kara... Maybe @Sven too if he wants to creep about.

As the three wolves left the Drooping Willows and made way towards the outskirts of the Grove, Elettra's black ears would turn to Sven's sound, her pale gaze meeting his own as she turned her attention on her grandson to see his steps turn, ready to take off back home. He did not, however, not until she dismissed him and after a moment she did so by a small dip of her muzzle downward. If he did not wish to see the children she would not force it upon him. After all, she knew how close he had been to Morganna and how hurt he was when she had left him. Where his mother had slut her way into Skoll's attention and then left and Skoll himself had thus been distant time and time before, Morganna had been someone to truly look up to. Until now. Elettra could not blame him. It still hurt her, too, especially with how many members Morganna had ripped from the pack, leaving them so vulnerable. She had hoped to hurt Nicolo gravely though did not take into consideration she had hurt the rest of her family too.

Trotting up along Morganna's side, the two children came bounding out from their hiding spot, rushing up to both their mother and grandmother. Elettra had not been expecting such a greeting from the children, assuming that they would be weary of her having never met her before, though it appeared Morganna had spoken of her enough that the children were comfortable with her presence even if they were only meeting her for the first time. Elettra could not help that her tail was waving behind her happily, even if she had still been pained about Morganna leaving them and how happy she was now that she had done so. "What beautiful little Archers...." She speaks as she crouches low, nuzzling into them as they bounded around her face and shoulders. She assumed they were Archers anyhow, for although she did not know every detail about Morganna's breeding last year, she knew enough. Whether Craw was really that father or not, he harbored no surname just as the man which Elettra had first bred to. Now, like their mother before them, they would be named Archer. "They are like fire and ash." They were absolutely perfect. Given the way both Skoll;s children were birthed, outside of the law and at the edges of the borders as though a sin of shame, Elettra could finally introduce herself as a grandmother properly.

@Kara then Morg?

It had been a long, long journey south and when their mother had left them, of course the pair had been into their own brand of mischief. With no strange pups to drop gross things on (and honestly, hardly a gross thing worth grabbing since they left the creepy woods to the north of here), they had found other ways to amuse themselves. All this undergrowth was unfamiliar to children raised on the vast and expansive tundra and sure, there were bushes, but there weren't trees, and everything was woodier, hardier. The lush green of the Grove was an adventure all in itself.

When their mother finally returned he turned to his sister with a sharp nip to her cheek to get her moving. Much like anything else the dark wolf was met fearlessly, with a flurry of paws and short barks and whines. She seemed more intent on talking to mother than playing with them and the boy gave a small growl of demand. They were here! They came all this way! "Nonna! Nonna! Nonna!" He grumbled out making little secret of how disgruntled he felt at being ignored. "We came a long way and did lotsa things! We even threw a fish at a stranger girl!" Oops... Had they even told their mother that yet?

@Morganna

Tumbling about in the undergrowth was almost as much fun as dropping slimy things on people was, almost. Thankfully before Kára could grow too bored with their wrestling games the sound of paw steps approaching distracted the pair. The nip on her cheek was met with a displeased growl and a swift head butt into Odin's knees. Racing forward just a few steps behind her brother their excited yips and barking filled the area as the bounded towards the adults. Instead of hesitating towards the stranger the fiery girl shoved her nose deep into the thick fur at Elettra's neck. Snuffling around in there to pick up her Nonna's scent she made herself sneeze and took a couple of steps backwards.

Kára also noticed that they seemed to be taking the backburner in this conversation but unlike her brother she kept her mouth shut for once. At his words though she turned with wide eyes, they hadn't told their mum about the fish incident yet. Shaking her head almost microscopically her eyes narrowed to send a silent message; if we get in trouble I'm taking the heat out on you later.

Looking back towards the adults Kára exclaimed, "Nonna we've been walkin' fer days! Wh' der yer live where there's so many trees?" It was a mystery to the pup who had before this trip known nothing but the lowlands, they had the occasional tree but mostly it was bushes and tall grass.
