OOC here!

It had taken Lyris at least three moons to travel into the Thicket of Secrets. She was on her way home, but being unfamiliar with these lands, she was very close to delcaring herself lost. She was comfortable within Wild Rye Fields, so she was not sure why she had chosen to wander so far away. Perhaps some of her wanderlust had not yet abated, and her mind ached to explore further these new lands in which she found herself.

The trees rose early from a root-tangled earth. The forest itself was eerily quiet, the bulk and the trees and perhaps the consistancy of the soil swallowing up all excess noise. The girl wore a discouraged from as she picked her way along the forest floor, careful of where she placed her footsteps. One wrong move, and she would stumble and fall, and after the ordeal she had experienced with Leotie, hurting herself had recently become something that she dreaded. The Cantata girl did not wish to risk her usefulness to her knew pack. If that were to happen, there was the possibility of outcast, and she would be abandoned to fend for herself once more. And if that happened, she would die.

Her belly emitted a wild rumble as she traveled. She had not eaten even more than a snack in her journey back up north, and the familiar weakness of life as a lone wolf had begun to seep back into her bones. Lowering her head, she skimmed her snout along the earth ground, nostrils twitching, searching for the scent of pray. However, the only scent she picked up was that of another wolf. Large, yellow eyes widened as she lifted her head and wheeled around, searching for the presence that had obviously come into her line of scent.
