As hunger growled uncomfortably in his stomach the Archer pushed froward, putting as much distance as he could between himself and the healer. He would find a meal that he did not have to fight a packmate over—the last thing he wanted to do was create unnecessary tension in the pack. During the move north he had grown close with his older sister, their relationship growing stronger. If she and Craw had not decided to part ways with the willows Greer would have left on his own accord, perhaps seeking out Kyna in the Bend.  Going east would not have been so bad, if it meant joining the strawberry blond. The monadnock had become an unexpected home and while, at first, it was supposed to be temporary, it was growing more permanent with each day that passed. He still wanted to join the scarlet wolf, even though she had now left Oak Tree behind, but he felt an obligation to Whitestone. And he did not know if Kyna would join him in the tundra, for her home had always been in the mountains.

The shadow moved quickly, only pausing once to glance over his shoulder at the fading shape of Lorcán in the distance. He steered clear of the rock they called home, wanting to find something to fill his stomach before returning to its peak.
