city of stars - Sahalie - Feb 16, 2017

@Spieden would have taken place like 1/30 or something. end of january/beginning of feb whatever RE: A rare freezing rain coats Relic Lore in a coat of ice!

Well, now that all their intentions had been dragged out into the open there was not much of a point in Sahalie delaying any longer. When she awoke in the morning, stepped out of the den, and promptly slipped on an unexpectedly icy rock and was reminded that this place was not home. Nervous laughter came from her lips as she stared down at her paws, a little amused by her clumsiness. She longed to be yielding, adaptable to the foreign landscape and let the frustrations wash over her and leave her clean and bright but she felt stuck here. Perhaps if she had been eased into the Monadnock slowly, had lived in several places slowly moving north towards the tundra, the shock might not have been so intense and her reaction would have been attenuated. But she had come here of her own misguided, rushed emotions and while she was grateful for the lesson (i.e. the kind of wolves and the kind of packs that were out there) it was not a place she could fit into. The dark girl got back onto her feet and slipped again and this time there was no titter. Sighing, her eyes gave the grey, hard rock a once over and discovered that the whole thing glittered with frost and ice.

Inhospitable, whispered the girl who wished she was back in her spooky blue forest.

At any rate, eventually she managed to find and follow Spieden's scent trail and she called for her softly. They had not seen much of each other in the last few weeks, though they had not exactly hung out regularly back in Oak Tree Bend. Mako and Marina were older now and her former caretaker did not require so much help to keep them from eating her alive out of hunger or, worse, boredom. Sahalie had to admit though, she did feel guilty over how poorly she had done with her aim of helping Spieden adjust, heal, and work through whatever problems had forced her to leave the Bend. Spieden seemed mostly the same now. Once the thing that had upset her had been removed all her cause for panic had subsided. It didn't mean she was cured, but it left the girl without anything to treat, and as she was just a girl she was at a loss.
