Nothing pleased her more than making her family happy – especially her parents. The smile that lit up her father’s face almost made her stop in her tracks, an awestruck expression on the yearling’s face. The alpha of Secret Woodland’s smile was so rare and it warmed her heart to know that – today – she had been the recipient. Not while they were with their whole family, not when her father was looking at her mother, but towards her. She would do anything to see that smile on her father’s face again, anything he wanted her to do.

Her father’s glance towards the sky was followed by a glance of her own. Their time chatting had passed the day away and Nia was sure that the man was still recovering from his sickness. She did not want him to get sick again. At his nod towards the communal den, the girl smiled and shook her head. "No, you go ahead and get some rest, dad. I’m going t’do one more loop around the borders and then head in." With a parting nod, Enia set out to do just that, it would be no use if they seemed weak to passing visitors. She would be resting well that night.
