every moment rushes through - Ember - Mar 06, 2017
All welcome, with special mention for @Kajika. Backdated to 2/15, during Ember's return leg of her scouting trip.
[dohtml] The scent of other wolves was relatively strong within her nose, but she felt at ease. These were their allies, so she'd been told, and the home of @Cernan and @Neha, those pups she and @Arion had run into back when they were all just kids. She'd always wondered what it looked like, that terrain they'd described which had seemed so strange to her. Now that it stretched before her, nestled in the mountains that she had never expected to love so strongly, Ember thought it was breathtakingly beautiful. She leaned her long neck down to lap at the frigid water, broken chunks of ice beneath her paws from where she had broken through the casing. Almost there, she was almost home. Home, it still didn't match up right in her head, but she kept saying it to herself all the same. The adventure was all but over, and that made a part of her sad. But! That also meant she would see @Arion, who she had certainly missed these two weeks she'd been gone, and she would go back to having regular meals and be able to give her aching paws a rest. There was always an upside, and Ember would never fail again to spot it. RE: every moment rushes through - Kajika - Mar 07, 2017 [dohtml] It was out of his routine for him to be making his way through the forest in the middle of the day for a drink. That was what Kajika was doing as he tried to get rid of the effects of a particularly bad dream he’d woken from.he didn't rush though he should have not wanting to run into any of his packmates. He hadn't seen most of the. Since the incident with the lynx except for Moonshadow as she still kept up with checking on him. He still was waiting for the other paw to drop in that when Tagg became too important. Until then he would look forward to her visits and push the thought that they would last only so long to the back of his mind. He took the path he always had taken from the communal den weaving through the trees of the cove. He kept a watchful eye out for any of his packmates in case he needed to avoid them. Finally he came to the treeline that separated the forest from the shore, it was there the female's scent reached his nostrils. He passed down the path to the shore where he found a tawny wolf of smaller build then himself. He went to the lake first and lowered his head to the water where he took in a long drink of the cool water. When he'd finished he turned to face her, “What brings you this part of the forest?” He asked politely. Her scent telling him she was of a pack but he didn't recognize which one, there was time to find out later. [/dohtml] |
