there's no coming back - Rory - Mar 11, 2017 RE: The Lore experiences a bout of warm weather. [dohtml] It seemed the stars always brought her back home. Light snow was her welcome home party, a soft and silent wave of fresh snowflakes that littered her small frame as she wandered, by instinct, back to the only place she had ever truly felt at home. With so much time passed, there was no doubt in her mind that those who remembered her had all long moved on, even those who had taken her into their home and hearts. At this realization, for the briefest of moments, she took a pause to inhale deeply--this reality often stung. She was all alone, had been since her birth and had by some strange miracle, lived to make it to her adult years two times over, it was a celebration for those who took pride in such things, but for Rory she was simply surviving. She was a skeleton of a wolf and had been this way since reaching one year but her height and muscle structure was a reminder of the bloodline that coursed through her veins, she was nearly as tall as her mother but obtaining her bulk had often failed her, instead she resembled a large fox on stilts--weak and nonthreatening, and it was this disguise alone that had kept her alive. A low rumble in her stomach made her stop to glance over her surroundings. She had no clue exactly where she was but instinct told her that she was North, and the bright star that shone above her confirmed this guess. Comfortable with the distance, and slightly weak from the travel, she lowered herself into a tight ball with her long limbs tucked just enough beneath her to wicker away any moister that threatened to penetrate her winter coat and allowed her lengthy tail to lay, ever so softly, around her. The typical wolf would feel vulnerable out in the open but to Rory, beneath these stars, she was invisible. RE: there's no coming back - Adelayde - Mar 11, 2017 Welcome back Hero! Just had to thread with my little Aurora <3

Beneath the shining stars, the Rye wolf wandered. Sleep was evasive to the Snow woman and the only way she could find peace was under the stars. Tonight, she avoided the lookout and the whole area of the Rye fields and instead escaped the marked borders of her home. The second was feeling oddly irritated with any wolf that shared the same scent as hers, she needed to get away from all of them. Only for tonight. The vast lowlands giving way to the horizon that was littered with stars and the waning moon. Humming lightly to herself, she traveled on, not sure where he legs were taking her this time. Adelayde was quite familiar with the lowlands now having calling them home for almost five months. The Rye second hasn't traveled to any other part of the Lore since then. Winter was the prominent deter to her traveling anywhere, but now that the weather seemed to be warming up, perhaps she could go on a scouting trip. Experience more of what the Lore offered. Still humming to herself, her mismatched eyes looked up towards the sky as she walked. Her mind wandering to the memories of her mother and father. As she looked back towards where she was walking, her eyes caught a shape rather close to her that didn't completely match with the crystal snow around her. Quickly she was able to decipher it was another wolf. Chuffing loudly, she stayed where she was until she could tell the other heard her. It wasn't safe to sleep like this with the possibility of a wolf intent on harming others loose and on the run. and there's beauty in everything

If it wasn't for the wind that brought the young girl's scent to her nostrils, she potentially may have never seen her. The girl blended perfectly in with the surrounding landscape and perhaps Adelayde would never had known she passed by the girl. As soon as she alerted the other of her presence, she could see the other cower under her company. Eyes softening, she hummed lightly as too try to soothe the girl. She was no harm to her, she had been merely passing through. Ears flattening as she looked over the stranger's body. The girl was a petite, skinny thing with her bones easily visible under her pale coat. With a soft whine in return to the girl's sounds, Ade stepped closer to the girl keeping her posture low as well as to come off equal to the other. She needed to find the poor girl a meal or she feared she would parish within the harsh terrain of the lowlands. Eyes softening as she stepped closer, as to say she merely wanted to help and she meant no harm, she waited to see what the other thought of her presence now. Would the girl let her come closer or would she try to run off? and there's beauty in everything
