Communication Breakdown - Kajika - Mar 24, 2017 All Cove wolves welcome
Being back in the cove wasn't as bad as he had feared it would be since he wasn't entirely sure that he was back to his old self. He had taken up a more normal routine and hadn't felt the darkness closing in on him since he'd left. He'd taken this all as a good sign that he might have finally beaten it. However, there was something not right in the cove and it bothered him. He knew exactly what it was the scents of not only Lunette but Moonshadow were missing or very faint across the territory. After speaking with Des he’d gone looking for them both and had been unable to find them. He wasn't going to make the same mistake again, he wasn't going to just wait for them to find their way back or not. He had been gone for two weeks only to come home and find two of the most important wolves missing, this didn't sit well with him at all. So he began his search in the cove for any trace of them that could help lead him to where they might be. He wasn't going to lose them like he'd lost Des, he didn't want something like what had happened to her to happen to them. So he started at the borders with his nose to the ground searching for the place they might have crossed. RE: Communication Breakdown - Vespertio - Mar 24, 2017 Worried father and leader coming your way <3
So much had come to happen in just a few short weeks and honestly Vespertio wasn't sure just how to handle it all. For the first time in the history of Fallen Tree Cove the leading pair had made no plans to further spread the Vuesain lineage with a new litter, something that had inadvertently caused a domino effect among their subordinates. Firstly, the leading pair were confronted by Moonshadow and Tagg for a chance to try for children of their own and shortly after that Kajika had approached them with the same idea alongside needing to travel for some weeks to clear his mind. All had been granted by the alphas, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. It had been nearly the entire time Kajika had been gone that there was little to no signs of Lunette about the territory, no warning of her sudden disappearance and yet again the father was thrown off kilter. Anxiousness kept hidden from the others while each day the agouti man set out to search for his missing daughter and now a missing Moonshadow who had also become sparse about the Cove within the last week. To make matters worse the woman was to be expecting a litter come spring. How could he have let this happen? He was supposed to protect his members and family, but what a shitty job he was doing it seemed. With the coming of sunrise, Vespertio set off from the communal den toward the borders to begin another day of searching. Coal black nose pressed to the snowy ground to shovel away anything and everything that could provide some trace of the missing girls, creamy limbs trudging through the deep powder until an ebony silhouette caught his attention along the border up ahead. Pausing momentarily his head lifted and a bark was issued, not needing to wait long to decipher the figure as Kajika by the large frame. Sadly, not the shape of Moonshadow and definitely not his precious daughter. Re: - Spirit of Wildwood - Mar 24, 2017 There is a deer that was killed by a lynx nearby. +10 Health RE: Communication Breakdown - Tagg - Mar 24, 2017 [dohtml] ----------------------------------------------------------- Word Count: 216 Tagg had heard Kajika’s call when he returned, but thought he’d give his friend a day or two to settle back in before coming to find him. He also figured he had called for a reason, and since the veteran didn’t like it when those who hadn’t been called responded, he chose not to go. But it was different now. Moon was missing and the only other wolf he could think of who cared about her as much as he did was his darker friend. He found him by the border, sniffing about. “Kajika!” He called, picking up his pace to catch up with the beta. “You didn’t happen to find Moon on your way back, did you? She’s missing.” He said before even welcoming his friend back. He knew he wouldn’t mind; that was a conversation that could wait. Finding his mate, on the other hand, could not. “Lunette too.” To have two members disappear at the same time was not only suspicious but incredibly nerve-wracking. He didn’t know the youngest Vuesain that well, but she was still a member of the pack and he worried about her. She was still so young, after all. But more worrisome was the fact that their beta was expecting pups and had been gone for more than a week. "Speech" Thought RE: Communication Breakdown - Kajika - Mar 25, 2017 [dohtml] As he searched a bark reached his ears bringing his attention to who might be trying to get his attention. His eyed landed on Vespertio just before he heard his name called. His attention turned to find Tagg coming towards him. The first thing he realized was seeing the man didn't cause the same emotions inside of him that they had before. He returned his attention to the Alpha, "What Brings you this way?" He called to the agouti man. He didn't have time to dwell on past issues was the thought as he turned to hear what Tagg wanted. The words he spoke only confirmed what he had feared. Well he wasn't going to stand around and wait for them to come back, not this time. “No, have you or anyone else gone to look for them? How long have they been missing?” He questioned rather quickly. If they had been gone awhile then there wasn't any time to waste they had to go looking now. He didn't understand how this could all have happened while he was gone, surely he wasn't so important that the two who were most important would just disappear from the pack. “We need to find them Tagg, something could be terribly wrong and I can't lose either of them. They are too important,” he admitted to the tawny man. Kajika wanted to make sure that Tagg understood the urgency in which they had to work. The dark man didn't know what he would do if something happened to either one of them. Lunette did worry him most and he hoped that the two of them were together for the young Vuesain's sake. [/dohtml]RE: Communication Breakdown - Vespertio - Apr 05, 2017 Oops Tagg and Vesper posted at the same time xD
The dark male had little to no time to acknowledge Vespertio's presence before a second wolf appeared on the scene, molten gold irises shifting from the ebony silhouette of Kajika to settle on the familiar scar riddled face of Tagg while russet ears further shifted forward to catch the words falling off the other agouti man's tongue that further cemented the fact Moonshadow and Lunette were missing. Soon after Kajika's attention returned to Vesper's approach, asking what had him coming out this way. "I'm searching for the girls as well." He answered, halting once his creamy limbs brought him to a closer distance from where the ebony male stood. A series of questions were posed for Tagg to answer as the recently returned second once more had his attention shifted from leader to pack mate, the lakeside patriarch speaking up with a simple 'I have.' to partially answer on behalf of who else had bothered to search for the missing girls of their pack and family. A week at least the Vuesain could recall Moonshadow being absent for, but Lunette had been gone longer. Too long it seemed and this allowed too many situational variables to swim through the panic riddled father's mind. Perhaps it truly was best Namid and himself hadn't tried for a litter this year considering it seemed each litter thus far was cursed to have at least one cub wander off where they weren't supposed to. RE: Communication Breakdown - Tagg - Apr 10, 2017 [dohtml] ----------------------------------------------------------- Word Count: 237 Tagg was startled to find Vespertio quickly arriving with him. He quickly dipped his head and murmured a respectful greeting before turning back to Kajika. With his daughter missing, the russet man was sure his leader would also understand a lapse in manners. “Have you or anyone else gone to look for them?” Tagg was insulted that he would even ask that. “Of course I have.” He said indignantly, ears flicking back. “What kind of a man do you think I am?” He hadn’t been able to go too far beyond their borders; it would do nobody any good if he got himself lost trying to bring them home. He had to bite his tongue to keep from pointing out that if Kajika hadn’t been gone, they might have been able to go out together sooner and look for them. Still, he managed to keep that little thought to himself. The beta had been away on pack business, after all, and the veteran was the one who’d suggested a trip in the first place. He hadn’t expected him to bring home another straggler, but from what he heard, he shouldn’t be surprised. He couldn’t begrudge him that. “Now that you’re back, we can do a wider search.” He suggested, glancing at his king to make sure he wasn’t taking it for granted. “Can the pack spare the two of us for a few days while we look for them?” He asked. "Speech" Thought RE: Communication Breakdown - Kajika - Apr 10, 2017 [dohtml] In his mind Kajika was frantic over the absence of Moonshadow and Lunette, he was trying to be respectful of those gathered but the worry he felt was too much the bare. He'd only just returned and found them missing and no one knew what had happened to them. He had to regain control of himself so after Vespertio had told him what he was doing Kajika took a step back. His sides heaved with the deep breath he took to try and calm himself. He then looked back to Vespertio, “Have you had any luck picking up a scent or perhaps some other sign?” He asked in a more calm manner. It would be clear to both men just how worried he was about the missing, they weren't just his packmates and he feared that something terrible had happened. He also felt guilty, neither of them had taken his leaving very well, what if their disappearances had something to do with that? Kajika's ears flattened at the tone in Tagg's voice in regards to the kind of man the beta thought he was. Again Kajika took a deep breath before he faced Tagg squarely, “You’re right, I am sorry for questioning you, there wasn't an excuse for it,” he apologized with a nod. Right now was not the time to get into a screaming match with the tawny man. He turned his gaze back to that of Vespertio, “What areas have you searched?” He asked curiously so they might have a better idea of where they could start their next efforts. The beta turned his head back to Tagg, “We can search as far as we need, we will find them and bring them home.” He offered a nod to both men hoping they understood he wouldn't stop until they were found. He only hoped he didn't find them as Anthem had been found, Kajika shook that thought from his head. The beta looked to Vespertio as Tagg asked his question about them being spared for a few days to see what the alpha would say about it. [/dohtml]RE: Communication Breakdown - Vespertio - Apr 11, 2017 A creamy brow quirked upward in mild curiosity at the accusing tone that blanketed Tagg's words while he confirmed he too had done his part searching for his lost mate and Vesper's lost daughter, questioning the ebony wolf rhetorically what kind of man he saw him as. Although, it was no surprise that Kajika took the blow in stride and apologized. Now a question was turned onto himself again and the lakeside patriarch could only offer a shake of his head. "No, I've had no luck finding any traces of the girls other than the faded scents within the territory. Nothing outside to go off of." And that wouldn't help them at all. "I've searched the Riddled Heights area where a former pack use to reside thinking Lunette may have gotten spooked while beyond the borders and hid within the old pack den. I found nothing there, but old caches long emptied." Hopefully, Tagg was having more luck in the search than himself, but Vesper wouldn't stop just because they hadn't found anything. He would do whatever it took to bring them both home safely. Molten gold irises shifted from the dark face of Kajika and settled onto the scar riddled face of Tagg, nodding his compliance at his request. "So long as you come back home safely you have my permission to search as far as you need. I'll remain here and do what I can closer to the borders should they wander back on their own." RE: Communication Breakdown - Tagg - Apr 12, 2017 [dohtml] OOC! ------------------------------------------------------ Word Count: 210 Tagg felt bad for lashing out at Kajika, but didn’t apologize for it. There were more important things on hand. He would ask forgiveness later. Instead he turned his mind towards the next question, nodding as their kind explained he had been out to an abandoned pack territory to search for his daughter. “I have been down towards spectral woods, though I haven’t made all the way there. There was nothing to suggest either of them would be down there, and I-” He paused. He didn’t want to admit that going down there on his own still made him uneasy. That’s where he’d been when he’d gotten forced away from Fallen Tree Cove the first time. “Well, there’s no use in getting lost myself. It wouldn’t help anybody.” Hearing Vespertio give them permission to search lifted a huge weight from the veteran’s shoulders. He wanted to set out that moment, but he knew they needed some time to prepare. “Thank you!” He said, his voice thick with gratitude. While Kajika was certainly close to and worried about both the girls, he couldn’t possibly understand the worry that gnawed at Tagg the way their leader would. He was missing a child, after all, and Moon was expecting. He had to get her back. "Speech" Thought [/dohtml] [/quote] |
