Season of Miracles - Emrys - Apr 10, 2017 @Jynx [dohtml]
Temperatures were slowly climbing and the sun seemed to be making more of an appearance in their lives. The icy grip of winter was slowly loosening its grip on them but more importantly the prey was starting to return to White Fir Notch. Emrys was thankful for the change, with Jynx progressing in her pregnancy she would need as much food as she wanted. He spent a lot of time hunting for the pack and for Jynx to make sure she at something each day. He also spent time checking up on the members of the pack, they were doing better but still recovering from the period they didn't have any prey. With the warmer temperatures Emrys felt like he could breath again. Soon he would be able to replenish the inventory in the infirmary den especially with the pups on the way. There were a few things that he would need to gather before their arrival. [/dohtml]
It was now more than ever his mother had made him sit through the lesson she had on birthing and the care of an expectant mother. He felt he was better able to care for Jynx in this delicate time of her life. He was always making sure she knew he was there for anything she would need and that they were in this together. The healer was sure there were times she didn't feel that way since she was the one that had the pups growing inside of her. He did worry, maybe too much about the welfare of his mate but their children as well. He'd left the den early before Jynx had woken with hopes he'd catch something for her to have for breakfast before she woke up. He usually tried to bring her something early so that if she didn't want to get up right away she would have to. It had taken a little longer then he wanted so when he'd finally caught a rabbit for her she was no longer in the den when he returned. Emrys went in search of his mate hoping she hadn't had the chance to eat just yet. When he finally did find her he approached her brushing his side against hers before dropping the rabbit. “Hello love, how are you feeling this morning?” He asked before nudging his catch toward her, “I brought you this and thought that perhaps I could steal you away for a little while.” He told her, “That is if you don't have any pressing problems to see to?” He hoped that she would be able to get away for a few hours at least. |
