Stuck in the Darkness - Lazarus - Dec 12, 2011 Late night- 42 F{I} Lazarus glanced around his new surroundings, trying to get his mind off of the traumatizing life he had to endure throughout the majority of his life. He knew from what his old leader had said, that he was safe from them, though he always had the paranoia of being followed during the many months of being a loner. He slowly walked through the night, trying to keep focus of the little he could see under the dim moonlight. He had gotten used to dark enviornments, his eyes adjusting to the blackness of the night fairly easily. Despite this, he had a hard time focusing on anything for more than a few seconds. His life has hardly been eventful after leaving his past behind, all he had been doing was traveling, hunting, and surviving. He hated that he couldn't get his mind off of his mental pain, he felt as if he was soon going to go insane from it. He laid down besides the trunk of a nearby tree, looking above at the moon that always intrigued him. He wondered how just a small ball of white light could interest him so, how something so small can make such a difference during the night, keeping the world from being shrouded in complete darkness. He rested his head on his paws, wishing for the months of psychological torment to end, for anything to happen to get his mind away from his past, all the death, all the blood, all the pain. The night was warm, a change to what it had been these days, but a pleasant change compared to the freezing temperatures which had set in the winter. Deciding to use the oppertunity for a walk she had caught a three hours of sleep, and then slipped in the silver light of the moon. It was late by tell of the indigo sky, but she was taking a cautious patrol around Grizzly Hollow. There were many scents of strange wolves which made their routes through the Cedarwood Forest, and hit had her wary of the safety of her family. The encounter with the black female had set her back on edge, and she wanted to be sure her boundaries had not been crossed. |
